Interior Design challenges us to reimagine existing interiors as well as challenge the idea of ‘space’ to create innovative and experiential spaces. It focuses on the way people interact within these environments, considering comfort, usability, effectiveness, aesthetics and emotional connection.

On this course you’ll explore the regeneration and adaptation of real buildings and sites and learn how to turn old commercial premises into exciting new spaces for exhibition, retail, leisure, eating and socialising purposes. You’ll develop visual communication skills in drawing, 3D modelling, computing, video-modelscope, computer-aided design (CAD) and virtual reality. Your work will respond to future global challenges and reflect the importance of sustainability and inclusivity in contemporary interior design.

Explore the history of photographic images, moving image, contextual studies and digital media, with professional practice at the heart of your learning. The modules on this course have been carefully designed to provide a fully integrated program of study. Applied Computing BSc (Hons) is a practical, vocationally oriented course providing students with knowledge and skills for the modern, computer-driven workplace. The course is a contemporary mix of traditional computing subjects with professional and work-related skills.

The core modules include Introduction to Computing, Computer Ethics, Data Analytics, Information and Database Design, Programming in Python, Project Management, Human-Computer Interaction, Programming with APIs and Frameworks, Mobile Application Design and Development, and Artificial Intelligence. Visual Effects BSc has been developed in consultation with the industry to deliver skills relative to the production of visual effects (VFX) across a range of contemporary media. The use of VFX is commonplace within broadcast productions, film and animation, video games, and in advertising. This is reflected in the scope of this course as it pulls from a number of disciplines including film, special effects, animation and 3D, to complement the interdisciplinarity of the subject.

This course also encourages you to develop your creative flair and understanding of industry-standard software to create your own 3D content for use in film and television projects.

As an integral part of the multibillion-pound film and television industry, studying the creative and technical skills used in VFX can open up extensive career prospects.
