On this course, you’ll cover compounding, formulation chemistry, pharmaceutical processes and technologies, microbiology, professional and quantitative science skills, cell biology and chemistry, pharmaceutical formulation, pharmacology, chemical analysis, quality and stability, cosmetic science and products, and pharmaceutical product development and manufacture.

This course will underpin your learning with industry-led insight and expertise, mixing professional knowledge and skills with academic critical thinking about films, audiences and the film industry.

You will enhance your filmmaking skills while developing a range of core skills and expertise in business and production management. These include scriptwriting, lighting and cinematography, directing and post-production, pitching, budgeting and management.

Further your knowledge of key roles in the film industry and the production process by learning about screenwriting and digital film and audio capture. As your studies progress you will develop your own projects under the guidance of our expert staff, with modules covering pre-production and production, equipping you for your final dissertation or individual film project.

Media Production is an industry-focused course, which provides you with the technical foundations and practical skills required for a career in a rapidly changing media landscape, enabling you to pursue roles in industries such as advertising, TV and radio production, journalism and PR.

Teaching modules include image capture and processing, audio recording and production, television documentary production, radio location production, creative media entrepreneurship and social media innovation.

Architectural Technology is concerned with new and existing buildings and examines how detail relates to the design concept. The MSc programme is tailored for students with BSc degrees or engineering design degrees, so that they can build on their prior technical knowledge. There are no engineering modules on the MSc, instead the broad curriculum has been designed for you to respond to the assessments by applying industrial product design and engineering design principles within concepts, final specification and design. As an MSc graduate, you will have the technical engineering design expertise that will make you ideally placed for industry roles in manufacturing, product and industrial design - or to continue onto further research and development within the industry or by studying a PhD. You will be encouraged to ask questions and take a personal and critical position in the globalised creative world, equipped with the skills to produce and exhibit your work, to embrace change in the fast-evolving creative industries and challenge artistic conventions.

Teaching takes place in our creative studio environment with support from a highly skilled team of technicians, and you will have access to a range of workshops to experiment and innovate with materials and processes. Our exhibiting artists and research-active academics have interdisciplinary expertise in drawing, painting, sculpture, analogue and digital photography, digital media, printmaking, public art, installation and relational practice. You will build important professional practice skills throughout the course with opportunities to curate and exhibit your work.
