It aims to develop a range of musical and critical skills and knowledge; encourage initiative, creativity, critical evaluation and independence of thought; develop a systematic understanding of relevant musical knowledge and a critical awareness of contemporary issues; and provide knowledge of research practices, enabling you to undertake a substantial individual dissertation or composition project.

You will have two work placements with our partner organisations, giving you the opportunity to put theory into practice. Placements will be in settings such as youth justice, early intervention, health services, schools and children's centres.
