Chemistry is a dynamic, multi-faceted subject. This integrated masters course places emphasis on research alongside developing your laboratory, practical and professional skills.

This Modern European Philosophy MA course is recognised as one of the most challenging and stimulating philosophy masters programmes in the UK. Based on a focused study of the fundamental texts of the modern European philosophical tradition, it provides an ideal preparation for doctoral research in philosophy or related fields in the humanities and social sciences. Course leader Stephen Bowen has 25 years' experience as an international human rights practitioner, including Campaigns Director of Amnesty International UK, Chief Human Rights Officer for the United Nations Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Director of the British Institute of Human Rights, and Legal Adviser to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights.

You will receive support to arrange a placement in a human rights or social justice organisation as part of the course, to gain valuable practical experience. Previous student placements have been undertaken at Liberty, Peace Brigades International, Amnesty International, and Refugee Action.

You will have the opportunity to arrange a placement in a human rights organisation, increasing your employability in the field.

Lively discussion is encouraged, with visiting speakers, leading academics and figures from human rights and international organisations contributing to the debate.

This course will enhance your knowledge of the clinical applications of psychology and build practical experience to help your future career.

You will be taught by both clinically active psychologists and research active academics. You will learn theories of psychopathology from childhood to adulthood, and clinical applications of psychology in health and well-being. The course offers skills training in counselling and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and develops your awareness of professional issues relevant to clinical practitioners.

You will gain a real advantage for careers in clinical and counselling psychology, research and a related area of psychology. However, please note the course does not lead to a direct professional qualification as a clinical psychologist, or guarantee entry to doctoral-level training in clinical or counselling psychology.
