Become an effective communications practitioner with the expertise and confidence to work in an international setting. You will learn how to work with clients to produce practical communications solutions in the private, public and voluntary sectors all over the world.

The course is delivered by four European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, IULM in Italy and Vilnius University in Lithuania, which all specialise in professional communications and public relations.

You will choose whether to study your first or second semester at Leeds Beckett University, where you will benefit from being taught at one of the most established centres for education and research in the field of public relations in Europe. You will spend your remaining semesters at a partner university, specialising in areas of expertise specific to that university. You could also take an optional industry placement in your final semester.

With a focus on sound design for film and television, this course will allow you to explore the capture of on-location production sound and studio-based post-production activity.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Create soundtracks for live action film and animation for a variety of platforms and contexts
• Engage with film and sound studies theory
• Develop technical and practical skills in the area of composition and post-production
• Collaborate and negotiate with fellow music students as well as with peers in the wider school including film, dance and performance
• Have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to sound production for radio and podcasting

Effective health and safety practices are integral to the success of any organisation. Whether you work as an operations manager, office manager, engineer or technician, you will be involved in establishing and maintaining a safe working environment. We will develop your knowledge of how different organisations use varying levels of safety procedures and you will assess their impact on the company as a whole.

By investigating an organisation in its entirety, you will gain a broad knowledge of other departments such as marketing, sales and human resources and how they are affected by the procedures and processes you implement. You will also enhance your understanding of the technical and human aspects of health and safety, learning to identify whether problems were caused by machine malfunctions or misjudgement by humans.
