This was the first journalism course in England to be taught from within a business school, providing students with access to our extensive contacts in industry. Leeds is home to hundreds of professional theatre collectives, dance companies and arts festivals so you’ll be surrounded by a vibrant creative community and an exciting range of performance work.

We’ll support you in setting up your second-year professional placement. You could spend a semester learning alongside and networking with one of the many artistic companies in Leeds or you could choose to travel abroad to work for an international organisation. Our students have previously completed placements at Company Chameleon in Manchester, BMotion Festival in Bassano del Grappa, Italy and with theatre company Third Angel based in Sheffield.

All of the staff teaching on your course are practising artists, which means our teaching is based on real professional experience. You’ll also have the chance to attend additional workshops delivered by external artists and companies.

The effective management of supply chains and logistics is recognised as key to sustaining a company?s competitive advantage, and this accredited course will enable you to successfully negotiate the uncertain economic environment now facing businesses across the world.

Tutored by industry specialists, you will develop your understanding of core business topics such as corporate strategy and the improvement of business processes, and you will become a skilled and knowledgeable procurement expert. Using established management tools and techniques, you will then be able to apply your knowledge of supply chain management and logistics to complex regional, national and international issues in a variety of settings.

If you are already a member of either of the accrediting bodies for this course, you could apply for accreditation of prior learning to gain exemptions from some modules.

This is the full LPC masters course and forms part of the vocational stage of training required if you wish to qualify as a solicitor. The Solicitors Regulation Authority recognises this course as meeting its training requirements and covering the necessary legal topics.

The course will be delivered via interactive workshops based on realistic case studies that explore the challenges of professional practice. You will learn from a team of academic staff who are qualified lawyers with significant professional experience. Course structure
You’ll study a balance of history and media modules in your first year, helping you develop a strong skillset and knowledge of methodologies in each discipline. Things like source analysis and media interpretation.

In your second year, you’ll bring your skillset together by completing your first interdisciplinary module. You’ll also begin driving your studies in the direction you want through a wide range of module options.

Your third year culminates in the completion of your dissertation, which explores and celebrates the interconnections between history and media. Employability is embedded throughout your course.

This course will enable you to expand your horizons across the corporate sector. You might have existing experience in law, finance or general business.
