By specialising in human resources, you will gain an understanding of how to use an organisation's best resource - its workforce - to achieve its strategic goals and get the very best out of each individual and team. Quantity surveyors are the cost managers of the construction industry. While studying for a recognised degree, you’ll learn how quantity surveyors organise, control and manage the costing of projects, including building economics, contracts and construction law, construction technology and project management.

Sandwich year
Our sandwich route includes a one year industry placement, enabling you to take advantage of the strong links we have with local authorities, commercial organisations and private quantity surveying practices - all of whom provide placement opportunities for our students.

This industry accredited degree will enable you to play an important role in society.

As part of your course, you’ll:

• Understand the responsibility for protecting public health
• Study how to uphold the maintenance of health environments
• Examine complex environmental health problems and learn how to formulate effective solutions
• Learn about the enforcement, education and the issuing of advice while working in partnership with other agencies
• Be taught by environmental health practitioners experienced in key areas such as food safety and health and safety

Hands-on learning
You’ll be taught in our state-of-the art science laboratories and acoustic facilities. This hands-on approach will allow greater interaction with your lecturers and will enhance your learning.

Build upon your practical and theoretical experience of contemporary music production and apply a range of creative production approaches in industry-standard studio facilities. This course will help you to develop the skills and knowledge to take your production ambitions further, nurture your confidence to work within the music and media industries, and prepare you for further study.

• Explore the technical and creative aspects of recording, arranging, mixing and producing

Explore design in the intersection between art, gaming and technology.

As part of your course you’ll:

• Apply the fundamentals of design theory to game art and related visual media
• Develop practical 2D/3D visualisation and compositional skills

• Understand the application of critical studies in relation to game art and what is required when working on the production of digital assets within game engine and visualisation technologies
