Become an effective communications practitioner with the expertise and confidence to work in an international setting. You will learn how to work with clients to produce practical communications solutions in the private, public and voluntary sectors all over the world.

The course is delivered by four European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, IULM in Italy and Vilnius University in Lithuania, which all specialise in professional communications and public relations.

You will choose whether to study your first or second semester at Leeds Beckett University, where you will benefit from being taught at one of the most established centres for education and research in the field of public relations in Europe. You will spend your remaining semesters at a partner university, specialising in areas of expertise specific to that university. You could also take an optional industry placement in your final semester.

Develop skills in analysis, legal reasoning, evaluation and advocacy on this Leeds Law School qualifying law degree.

The course is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the academic requirements of your legal training, and completion will enable you to undertake further study in order to become a solicitor or barrister.

As part of your course, you’ll:

Qualify as a registered mental health nurse and develop the expertise to be able to support people with mental illnesses in their homes and specialist health services.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Spend time at university honing your specialist knowledge
• Practise your skills in a supported healthcare environment during placements
• Learn how to aid the recovery of people with mental health problems, while working alongside those in related health and social care professions, including adult nurses, social workers and dietitians

Completion of this course provides eligibility to apply for registration with the NMC as a qualified nurse - mental health nursing. Studying nursing with Leeds Beckett gives you access to a wide variety of placement opportunities within the NHS and the voluntary sector. We can offer these in many settings, including services in drug and alcohol, mother and baby, eating disorders and forensics.

You’ll have regular opportunities to interact with mental health service users throughout your study. Your placements will involve shift work and travel within the Leeds area.

Nutrition plays a key part in the promotion of good health and the primary prevention of diet-related illness in communities and populations.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Become a critically reflective practitioner and gain practical experience in our health science and catering laboratories
• Gain an understanding of the relationship between food, nutrition and health
• Manage, analyse, interpret and communicate information and statistics about nutrition related health and disease states
• Undertake work-based placements to apply your expertise and refine your practical skills
• Have the option of undertaking a sandwich placement in year three

 You’ll undertake an extended placement in an area such as the food industry, for producers of specialist nutrition products, health promotion or research. You’ll also develop group skills by delivering your own nutrition awareness event. Throughout the course, you’ll learn skills which are appealing and desirable to employers.

Documentary filmmaking is constantly evolving, thanks to the rise of internet and social media, there are now countless places for filmmakers to screen their work.

As part of this course you’ll:

We support all types of filmmaking, including campaigning and issue-led films, observational and character pieces, experimental films and wildlife documentaries.

Develop your own approach to the study and practice of graphic design through a combination of brief-led and self-initiated projects.

As part of your course you’ll:

• Explore a wide spectrum of disciplines including design for print, illustration, photography, typography, animation and moving image

Gain the skills required in design, law, management and technology to become a chartered surveyor on this Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited degree.

As part of your course, you’ll:

• Study the design and construction of new buildings as well as the repair, refurbishment and management of existing structures
• Consider the historic elements of the built environment and discover how different aspects work together
• Learn how to maintain and enhance buildings that are important to our heritage

We have strong relationships with companies in the region and you’ll be taught by building surveyors. Visiting planners, architects, researchers and civil and structural engineers will deliver guest lectures and share up-to-date experience of their work in the field.

As a graduate, you’ll be eligible for full membership of the RICS following a period of approved professional practice. You’ll also need to complete a successful final assessment of professional competence by the RICS.
