Leeds Law School has a dedicated building at the heart of our City Campus, with its own bespoke courtroom, giving you the opportunity to witness mock trials and mooting competitions.

Nutrition plays a key part in the promotion of good health and the primary prevention of diet-related illness in communities and populations.

As part of this course, you’ll:

As part of your studies you’ll undertake a wide variety of assessments. In your second year you could participate in a day-long conference where you’ll have the opportunity to present your own research findings. You could also publish your essay in our university's highly regarded sociology journal.

This course will allow you to become a qualified youth and community worker, increasing your employment opportunities in this rapidly changing field. It is validated by the National Youth Agency.

You will participate in a rich and culturally diverse teaching and learning environment and undertake two challenging placements, enabling you to apply your knowledge and hone your practical skills. • Have access to diverse placement opportunities, including Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and Leeds Community Healthcare Trust, within secondary and regional care units, community teams and GP practices
• Spend 50 per cent of your time on practice placements
• Develop the practical skills needed to care for adults with acute and long-term illnesses across a variety of settings
• Focus on areas of personal interest within healthcare during the volunteering strand of the course

As part of your course you’ll:

• Develop concepts and narratives through drawing, sequential illustration and animation, digital practices, three-dimensional forms, performance and creative writing
• Underpin these practices with an emphasis on drawing and image-making
• Challenge the conventions of the discipline of illustration
• Define and locate your own practice within the professional context of illustration
• Investigate established unfamiliar and emerging processes, to inform your own individual methodologies

By studying global institutions such as the World Bank, the United Nations and the EU and the role they play on the political stage, you will gain an insight into how they deal with the shifting political and social issues that influence decision making at a regional, national and worldwide level.

You will also explore the impact of globalisation and its consequences for international society, enhancing your expertise and giving you the confidence to tackle the ethical challenges occurring in the world around you.

Our course incorporates a focus on employability, personal effectiveness, advocacy, activism and research skills. You'll have access to both student and academic members of staff with a variety of interests and expertise related to the study of International Relations, all of whom share an interest in rigorous academic study and a desire for progressive social change locally and globally.
