Become an effective communications practitioner with the expertise and confidence to work in an international setting. You will learn how to work with clients to produce practical communications solutions in the private, public and voluntary sectors all over the world.

The course is delivered by four European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, IULM in Italy and Vilnius University in Lithuania, which all specialise in professional communications and public relations.

You will choose whether to study your first or second semester at Leeds Beckett University, where you will benefit from being taught at one of the most established centres for education and research in the field of public relations in Europe. You will spend your remaining semesters at a partner university, specialising in areas of expertise specific to that university. You could also take an optional industry placement in your final semester.

As climate change and a range of ethical considerations forces us to address the true cost of new buildings, you'll practise sustainable interior design through creative re-use of existing structures.

As part of your course, you’ll:

• Study in a well-equipped studio environment and award-winning building in the vibrant city of Leeds
• Use traditional art and design inspiration and processes, along with digital media, to sculpt, draw and model innovative interior architecture
• Develop your place-making talents to shape sensory, emotive and tactile contemporary interior landscapes
• Complete design projects in response to human issues, live briefs and external clients
• Become an imaginative, ethical designer at the forefront of interior architecture and design practice and be supported in your individual aspirations and creativity
• Showcase your design talents to the public and impress industry professionals by exhibiting your work at the end of your final year

You’ll be taught by experienced practitioners whose backgrounds are in top architecture and design industry consultancies and practices. Live projects will give you the opportunity to engage with real clients, user groups, experts, practising designers and architects.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Develop the skills and knowledge to help and safeguard vulnerable people, families and communities
• Mix academic study with practice to better understand and guide those in crisis
• Hone your communication and therapeutic skills through simulated counselling sessions
• Explore and analyse child development, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence and mental health issues
• Learn about the different policies and frameworks behind community development, criminal justice, health services, social work and education
• Discover related theories and topics, including attachment, bereavement and different sociological perspectives
• Refine your understanding of how adults develop
• Examine contemporary issues that frequently make headline news, such as female genital mutilation, addiction and mental health problems
• Study intervention and safeguarding procedures and policies to help manage risk in these areas

Developed in consultation with several welfare agencies, this degree has been created in response to the increasing diversification of community and social work services.

As part of this course you’ll:

• Understand the policy-making process and how it impacts everyday lives
• Look at why social problems persist, and explore what more can be done to address them
• Have the opportunity to explore the welfare state, the impact of globalisation, social inequalities, the complexities of making successful policies, and social and economic justice
• Have a choice of optional modules and a dissertation in your second and third years, which you can tailor to your interests

• Study the core areas of neuromusculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological physiotherapy
• Practise thinking independently and problem solving in a clinical capacity
• Gain comprehensive hands-on experience through diverse clinical practice placements

Professional regulation
This course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council and will provide you with the necessary expertise and skills to become a qualified physiotherapist.

Realise your potential in contemporary music production and develop your ability to perform live.

As part of your course you’ll:

• Concentrate on four themes: performance (group and individual), composition and arrangement, technology and production, and contextual studies
• Work alongside students and staff both in the studio and at live music venues, building a portfolio that will help you achieve your professional ambitions as a musician
• Work in conjunction with students from music production in the studios as well as working in live venues
• Have access to workshops and industry professionals through our links with JAMES (Joint Audio Media Education Support) and the Music Producers Guild

You’ll have the option to gain invaluable work experience through a placement year in industry and the opportunity to work with external clients in your final year. Throughout your course you’ll be encouraged to perform externally in the many venues that Leeds has to offer. Previous students have performed at events including the Live at Leeds festival, which attracts thousands of visitors to venues across the city every year.
