The role of acoustics in the built environment and the impact of sound and noise on society is a growing area of research and practice.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Understand acoustic design and practice as a vital component in environments where creative industries function
• Recognise the intrinsic relationship between audio systems and the environments in which they operate
• Develop a broad understanding of the behaviour of sound in all scenarios
• Build technical and practical skills in the measurement, evaluation and design of audio systems and acoustic environments
• Explore the areas of interfacing, interactivity and spatial audio
• Practise listening to audio systems and acoustic environments and develop your ability to complete their set up and evaluation independently

This RICS accredited course reflects the real-world workings of the property and construction industries, preparing you for a career in property investment and development, property management or real estate management.

As part of your course, you’ll:

• Develop a combination of technical knowledge and professional skills
• Study the planning, building, maintenance and day-to-day management of properties from domestic dwellings to full-scale industrial and commercial units
• Cover key topics including estate and property management; portfolio management; valuation for mortgages; negotiation for sale, purchase, leasing or auction; and the financial aspects of real estate, including the financing of real estate projects

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Develop knowledge of the mathematical and scientific principles and methodologies which underpin civil engineering

Become an effective communications practitioner with the expertise and confidence to work in an international setting. You will learn how to work with clients to produce practical communications solutions in the private, public and voluntary sectors all over the world.

The course is delivered by four European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, IULM in Italy and Vilnius University in Lithuania, which all specialise in professional communications and public relations.

You will choose whether to study your first or second semester at Leeds Beckett University, where you will benefit from being taught at one of the most established centres for education and research in the field of public relations in Europe. You will spend your remaining semesters at a partner university, specialising in areas of expertise specific to that university. You could also take an optional industry placement in your final semester.
