Accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), this course will enable you to develop the skills you’ll need as a professional counsellor or psychotherapist. It will provide you with the training required to become registered with the BACP and be professionally recognised as a counsellor.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Identify your strengths and areas for development through clinical practice, ensuring you become a capable and self-reflective practitioner
• Experience a variety of learning approaches from full class lectures, to small group skills development where you can record your practice in our communications suite
• Study appropriate methods of research to form a research proposal and complete a dissertation in a subject area or specialism of your choice

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession which involves working with people to improve their own health and wellbeing. Learn to use physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical function on this Chartered Society of Physiotherapy approved programme.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Develop collaborative working skills, putting them into practice working with patients, their carers and other health professionals
• Be encouraged to reflect on practice to aid your professional development
• Experience placements within a variety of health and social care settings. These could include sports clubs, schools and private clinics in specialist areas such as cardio vascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurology and paediatrics

You’ll have the chance to get involved with many volunteering activities, and we have partnerships with local and international charities. Plus, guest speakers from a range of clinical specialities will support your lectures and practical sessions. You'll join a research-led academic community in the subject area of therapeutic and rehabilitation sciences.

Become an effective communications practitioner with the expertise and confidence to work in an international setting. You will learn how to work with clients to produce practical communications solutions in the private, public and voluntary sectors all over the world.

The course is delivered by four European universities: Leeds Beckett University, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, IULM in Italy and Vilnius University in Lithuania, which all specialise in professional communications and public relations.

You will choose whether to study your first or second semester at Leeds Beckett University, where you will benefit from being taught at one of the most established centres for education and research in the field of public relations in Europe. You will spend your remaining semesters at a partner university, specialising in areas of expertise specific to that university. You could also take an optional industry placement in your final semester.

Your campus sits in the very centre of the city, surrounded by museums, art galleries, theatres, film production companies and recording studios. We work directly with Leeds museums and galleries and many regional events, including the Ilkley Literature Festival and the Leeds West Indian Carnival.

Informed by research and led by practice, this course will see you explore contemporary three-dimensional design practice and gain a human insight into diverse design issues.

As part of your course, you'll:

• Engage in a reflective and iterative process of design development and learning through doing
• Communicate design ideas through compelling outcomes
• Develop transferable skills to work effectively as a designer in real-world settings

Innovative research methods will allow you to gain insights into user needs, economic, environmental and ethical considerations, and industry capabilities to inform your design outcomes. The importance of iterative modelling processes (making, testing and improving) will enable you to question, challenge, refine and propose appropriate design solutions that will make a positive contribution to the world around us.

This course recognises the breadth of professional and research-led opportunities within the subject area of 3D Design and supports a culture of discursive enquiry and debate. It aims to foster and nurture independent creative thinkers and will equip you with the necessary attributes to respond to the contemporary challenges undertaken by designers and researchers in the field.

If you have little or no experience of psychology, this course will give you the essential knowledge, skills and experience needed for a first step towards a career in this exciting field.

You will gain a comprehensive and critical understanding of cognitive, social, developmental and biological psychology, individual differences and conceptual and historical issues in psychology. In preparation for completing your dissertation, you will also develop the research skills necessary for designing and conducting quality research beyond that expected of graduates.

This course is relevant to graduates who have not studied psychology before, who have completed an undergraduate degree with a psychology component or who have undertaken an undergraduate psychology course not accredited by the BPS.

We offer great links with industry, thanks to our teaching team which includes Chartered Engineers who have extensive experience across different areas of engineering. Guest lectures and talks on engineering projects will provide you with great opportunities to network with professional engineers and understand how what you're learning can be applied to real situations.

Locally, nationally and globally, young people and communities are having to deal with difficult and challenging situations. Learn the skills you need to help them, and yourself, rise to those challenges.

You’ll undertake placements in a wide variety of settings and work with individual young people, as well as with groups and the wider community. This includes young offenders, drug services, environmental agencies and outdoor education centres.

Your qualification is validated by the National Youth Agency (NYA) and recognised by the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC). These bodies endorse professional qualifications for youth and community workers.
