As part of your course you’ll:

• Understand the physical nature and behaviour of sound and use this to benefit audio production and performance
• Analyse how audio systems work
• Study a blend of engineering, acoustics, programming and electronics
• Apply your skills and knowledge to acoustic issues and technical requirements you’ll face in industry
• Learn to record live sound, digital broadcasts, studio and location sound and audio-visual applications

You’ll undertake placements in a wide variety of settings and work with individual young people, as well as with groups and the wider community. This includes young offenders, drug services, environmental agencies and outdoor education centres.

You will be paired with a mentor for your final project which will replicate professional practice by encouraging you to develop a script in response to a client's needs.
