This course has been developed with local and national employers in the creative industries. You’ll benefit from the hands-on experience of staff who actively pursue research in this area, many of whom divide their time between academic work and commercial sector activities. You’ll have access to professional, industry-standard facilities. Our hardware and software systems are updated each year ensuring you use the same software as you will find in industry.

Throughout the course, you’ll practise presenting your work in front of a panel of tutors and industry professionals. Your final year project will be displayed at a tradeshow event where you can make contact with future employers. Previous students have found work with Disney Interactive Studios, Sky TV and many digital agencies.

Professional regulation
This course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council and will provide you with the necessary expertise and skills to become a qualified physiotherapist.

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession which involves working with people to improve their own health and wellbeing. Learn to use physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical function on this Chartered Society of Physiotherapy approved programme.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Develop collaborative working skills, putting them into practice working with patients, their carers and other health professionals
• Be encouraged to reflect on practice to aid your professional development
• Experience placements within a variety of health and social care settings. These could include sports clubs, schools and private clinics in specialist areas such as cardio vascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurology and paediatrics

You’ll have the chance to get involved with many volunteering activities, and we have partnerships with local and international charities. Plus, guest speakers from a range of clinical specialities will support your lectures and practical sessions. You'll join a research-led academic community in the subject area of therapeutic and rehabilitation sciences.

Develop the power of your storytelling through confident employment of creative and technical filmmaking skills in drama, documentary and experimental film production.

As part of your course you’ll:

• Study theory to develop your creative practice and be guided by industry experienced tutors in all aspects of film production
• Explore a range of filmmaking disciplines, including directing for drama, experimental film and documentary, together with producing, cinematography, screenwriting, design, editing and post-production, and location and post-production sound
• Learn who your audience is and how to engage them
• Explore the responsibilities of your practice, discovering your voice and developing that as a filmmaker

All of our tutors are film practitioners, so you’ll benefit from a wide range of professional production experience. The teaching team has a wealth of expertise in drama, documentary and experimental filmmaking, with specialist knowledge in screenwriting, postproduction, sound, producing, directing and cinematography.

Train to be a qualified social worker and gain a thorough grasp of the knowledge, skills and values that sit at the core of this rewarding career. Recognising the powerful links between personal and political issues, the course will assert the need to challenge inequality and safeguard vulnerable people.

In your first year, you will study the legal frameworks, policies and theories - in particular psychosocial perspectives - that underpin social work. A practice placement will offer you the chance to hone your communication skills as you start to apply your knowledge in the field.

In your second year, you will continue to extend and refine your understanding of the law. You'll also undertake a second practice placement and complete a dissertation. This course remains approved by Social Work England. This means that people qualifying from this course can apply to become a registered social worker.

Become a spatial planning expert with the ability to advise clients on the effective use of land. This accredited course will develop your understanding of local authority controls relating to many aspects of policy; including transportation, communities, the environment and the quality of the built environment.
