In recent decades, organisations have become increasingly reliant on effective supply chains in order to compete in the global market. This course equips you with a global view of the strategic and operational processes you need to manage the key functions of these supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management and production planning. The games industry is  complex and diverse industry that spans a variety of old and new technologies fm print to computer software to 3D printed game pieces. Our BA/BSc in games design gives you the transferable skills and knowledge you need to become a successful games designer in this industry. Led by academic staff experienced in AAA, indie, tabletop and mobile gaming, you'll develop your technology and story development skills, as well as enhancing your game-play design expertise.

Depending on your interests, you will work on the technical side of games design and testing in the BSc, while the BA is focused on experience design and using scripting and games engines to produce satisfying gameplay experiences.

Learning the essential skills you need to start your game design career, you’ll get to grips with the latest software, including Unity, Processing, OpenFrameworks, Maya,Z-Brush, After Effects, Flash, Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. You’ll also develop your skills with our Vicon Motion Capture and Green screen facility.

Visual communication through graphic design touches and shapes many aspects of modern life. Project work will feature as part of your study from the first year to help you learn to communicate your ideas. You’ll do this through a series of problem-solving tasks in branding, typography, magazine design, editorial design, advertising, art direction, and plenty more. You’ll work on briefs that closely mirror the professional world, getting transferable experience from the very start.

MA Graphic Design explores the ever-changing landscape of graphic design to build critical understanding, individual design thinking processes, practical experience and insightful design solutions. The course offers areas of specialism in typography, branding, editorial and book design, social enterprise and digital interactive experiences.

We take a problem-solving approach to graphic design to explore contemporary practice through design thinking, insight and co-design processes, prototyping ideas, and building expert collaborative networks with external partners.

We are a diverse collective, working across project areas of typography & information, brand identity & campaigns, new technology & digital experiences, design writing & insight analysis, sustainability & environmental issues, structural packaging and book design.

Based in the Grove, our £80 million Arts and Creative Industries building, and taught by some of the UK's leading practitioners from a range of disciplines, our course features world-class facilities and specialist workshops fitted with both new and traditional equipment, and these will be part of our blended learning approach available where possible. During your BSc in Public Health, you’ll be encouraged to take on a work placement so you can gain professional and practical skills in the workplace. You’ll embed with a local authority or NGO and work on an aspect of public health you're interested in, working on a research project at the same time. Such placements are under the control of our employer partners who may restrict access to placement experience in light of the ongoing Covid 19 outbreak.

Supporting physical and mental health is central in all areas of life and employment. This master's degree integrates the promotion of health and wellness with a focus on mental and physical health. You'll gain the knowledge, clinical practitioner and professional skills you need for a career working with clients and patients in health-related settings. You'll also have the opportunity to undertake hands-on learning through a professional placement (the placement option is not available in the 2020/21 academic year due to COVID-19).

This MSc has been developed for psychology graduates (or a related discipline, such as health studies, counselling, mental health, nursing, or public health) and current health and mental healthcare professionals wishing to further their studies, develop their knowledge and skills and enhance their career opportunities.

During the course, you'll be examining health, wellness and illness to understand the relationship between psychological variables and biomedical conditions as well as physical and mental health and wellbeing.

You'll focus on application and intervention and have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and practice professional and clinical skills. These can include communication with clients, ethical and reflective practice, judgment and decision-making, and skills related to formulation and assessment, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and health behaviour change.

We have strong partnerships with many health psychology organisations and trusts which means that you'll be able to undertake an eight-week work placement and gain valuable hands-on work experience.

This three-year apprenticeship programme is ideal to for apprentices employed within local trusts, or healthcare organisations who wish to undertake the BSc Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) and are supported by an employer to undertake the course as an Apprentice.

This BSc apprenticeship will be delivered across each academic year in designated periods of placement learning and study blocks. This model allows the apprentice to gain the advantages of the University resources and support processes, become integrated as a Middlesex University student, and develop a sense of belonging and cohort identity. Placement periods are assessed within their own area of employment according to the National School of Healthcare Science programme requirements.

The modules are delivered through attendance at University, independent study days and a range of planned placement experiences. As students they will be employed within local Trusts or Healthcare organisations as Cardiac Physiologist Degree Apprentices (CPDAs). In order to meet the National School of Healthcare Science requirements, the apprentice will complete planned practice placements within their place of work.

The apprentice will have access to My Learning at module and programme level, and all resources provided within it. These resources allow them to undertake the required pre and post sessional work within each module.

Whilst in practice, the apprentice's learning and assessment are supported and assessed by an identified mentor, who have prepared for the role by the University, for learning and assessment in practice. A range of practice learning experiences are planned in line with National School of Healthcare Science requirements.

This course is accredited by the National School of Healthcare Science.

BEng Design Engineering

The BEng Design Engineering programme offers core design capabilities, engineering design methods, project management techniques, prototypes for different stages of the engineering design process, evaluation and optimisation of design solutions and manufacturing processes.

The latest engineering systems opens opportunities along with challenges. This programme, with design engineering focus, comes up with practice-based learning approaches, problem solving and working methods for the design and implementation of such systems in practical projects.
