Through two compulsory modules you will focus on Strategic Management and, Leadership and Management Development. This course is ideal for those who are interested in how businesses are operated and managed, but who also want to develop their own marketing expertise.

Developing a business acumen
Developing the essential skills required for business will be at the core of your course. You’ll develop your business acumen so you can deal with any challenge you’ll face in your fast-paced career.

Overt the course of this Business Management and Marketing degree you’ll learn by doing – the vast majority of our modules are practical, and you’ll be assessed based on real life case studies and simulations.

During the marketing section, you’ll take on a range of digital marketing courses. You also have the opportunity to work on a marketing consultancy project where an external client will provide a project brief and you’ll work in a team to provide practical, actionable solutions. This gives you the opportunity to put your marketing knowledge into action, and ensures you are able to problem solve and negotiate as part of a team.

A broad career path
You’ll get the support you need to succeed. From your Personal Tutor to your Graduate Academic Assistant, each one has studied your subject and will provide the support you need based on their first hand experience. If you need a little help with writing, numeracy or library skills, we can help with that too.

Once you graduate, you could be working in a range of organisations such as Western Union, Emirates, Kimberley Clark and more. Previously, our graduates have gone on to work with the likes of UASC (United Arab Shipping Company).

However, if working for someone else doesn’t seem like your thing, that’s okay too – this degree enables you to set up your own business and our enterprise hub means that we’ll support you along the way.

You enrol on a four-year course, which includes the one-year foundation course. If you complete this year successfully you progress directly onto one of our three-year degree courses in these subject areas. BA Sociology with Criminology

Our Sociology with Criminology degree is designed to give you a grounding in sociological and criminological thinking, research methods and key skills to articulate new and emerging social and criminological issues. You'll focus on how society responds to crime, its causes and consequences, and investigating how we do and should respond to criminal behaviour in all its forms.

With Journalism and creative writing course you don't have to pick between the two areas of interest. Our course offers the unique experience of combining both subjects, so you can develop your skills as a writer across different styles.

During the course, you'll cover everything you'll need to know about journalism – from shorthand to digital media. You'll also learn about the life of a journalist whether you want to write for a newspaper, magazine, or online platforms.

On the creative writing side, you'll learn how to critically examine different types of writing – our course gives you plenty of opportunities to experiment with language, styles and formats.

This course prepares you to enter the industry as a professional journalist or go on to work in all sorts of creative industries, from creative writing to comedy.

Product designers are the visionaries who bring people and technology together. A BA in product design will open up both creative and technological career opportunities in areas that range from industrial design and engineering to mechanical design and creative technology.

Through project-based study, you'll develop the expert skills and understanding to combine aesthetic functionality and innovative technology. You’ll spend your first year studying a combination of product design and product design engineering to get a broad understanding of the fundamentals of both practices before choosing whether to continue with the BA Product Design or move across to our BEng Product Design Engineering programme.

During your BSc in Public Health, you’ll be encouraged to take on a work placement so you can gain professional and practical skills in the workplace. You’ll embed with a local authority or NGO and work on an aspect of public health you're interested in, working on a research project at the same time. Such placements are under the control of our employer partners who may restrict access to placement experience in light of the ongoing Covid 19 outbreak.
