In your final year, you’ll develop a personal professional portfolio that’ll bring together your study and style as an artist. It’ll be exhibited at our degree show, ensuring that creative industry employers see your hard work. Our architectural technology degree combines architecture, civil engineering, services engineering, environmental science and building information modelling to give you the insight, skills and experience to succeed in the most heavily demanded areas of construction.

Gaining first-hand experience of transforming conceptual designs and drawings into practical building projects, you’ll get to grips with the latest technologies, industry software and Building Information Modelling (BIM) techniques. Access to on-campus facilities will be dependent on any Covid-19 restrictions in place at the time.

You’ll also learn new methodologies, develop your creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills, and have the chance to work on real-life projects – in the UK and abroad – to gain a broad understanding of the full project management process. You’ll graduate with the skills to enter a diverse range of roles in both the private and public sectors of construction. Our graduates have gone on to become BIM managers, lead designers, information managers, project managers and consultants – and some have even set up their own architectural design practices.

You’ll also get to showcase your work to industry professionals in our final year degree show.
• You’ll get one-on-one support throughout your studies, and our series of guest lecturers also gives you access to some of the industry’s most influential professionals.
• You’ll collaborate with us to put your new skills into practice through real-world construction and infrastructure projects. Our students are currently leading the way on our MDX Pavilion: a major new project to create a sustainably-designed learning, event, community and well-being space on our campus.
• We’ll give you the flexibility to study over three years (full-time), four years (with a paid, year-long work placement), or six years (part-time). You’ll also be able to get a bursary worth up to 50% if you decide to continue your studies with our MSc BIMM course.

You will enrol on a four-year course which includes the one-year foundation year. The number of students who progress to degree study is very high. The Foundation Year in Performing Arts is taught in our excellent studios and facilities at our Hendon campus by the same lecturing staff who teach on our degree courses. MA Graphic Design explores the ever-changing landscape of graphic design to build critical understanding, individual design thinking processes, practical experience and insightful design solutions. The course offers areas of specialism in typography, branding, editorial and book design, social enterprise and digital interactive experiences.

We take a problem-solving approach to graphic design to explore contemporary practice through design thinking, insight and co-design processes, prototyping ideas, and building expert collaborative networks with external partners.

We are a diverse collective, working across project areas of typography & information, brand identity & campaigns, new technology & digital experiences, design writing & insight analysis, sustainability & environmental issues, structural packaging and book design.

Based in the Grove, our £80 million Arts and Creative Industries building, and taught by some of the UK's leading practitioners from a range of disciplines, our course features world-class facilities and specialist workshops fitted with both new and traditional equipment, and these will be part of our blended learning approach available where possible. Not all nutrition courses take a holistic approach to the subject. Our BSc Nutrition programme is interdisciplinary in its approach, exploring the link between diet, health, disease and performance. As nutritionists play a key role in creating and translating research into nutritional advice and policies, you’ll learn all about how the human body uses nutrients and the effects this has on health.

Beyond theoretical knowledge, our course will advance your employability by developing skills like communication, numeracy, research, team working, creative thinking, and more. • Our course offers you the unique opportunity to undertake a 12-month placement in your third year before returning for a final year of study subject to availability in light of the Covid 19 pandemic. Completing the placement will mean you graduate with a BSc Nutrition (Professional Practice) degree, which highlights the additional practical skills you’ve gained to prospective employers. You’ll get plenty of support from our Employability Advisors, who’ll ensure you secure a placement that closely matches your interests.
• Members of the Nutrition Society have the option of taking advantage of its internship programme. Other potential placement opportunities include Unilever, GSK, sports clubs, NHS Primary Care Trusts, and Nestle.

Our MBA is designed to prepare you for the challenges of management, exposing you to the latest thinking in business across a variety of sectors within an international context. You will engage with key management disciplines including financial and economic analysis, strategy and innovation, managing and developing people, global marketing management, operations and supply chain management, and cross-cultural management and ethics.

Fundamental to our approach is a focus on both theory and practice. Our multi-disciplinary biomedical engineering course mixes engineering with biomedical science and physiology. This provides you with a solid understanding of the technological developments taking place in the fields of medical engineering and bioengineering.

You will build on your previous experience in applied mathematics, physics, or other sciences. During your course you will enhance your engineering knowledge and gain specialist skills which will help you to design and improve existing and emergent systems, devices and treatments.

• We have fully equipped, state-of-the-art laboratories for medical device design and human performance measurement. You will also have access to the facilities in ourbioengineering and physics research laboratories. It is here that we’re making significant healthcare developments, which include the monitoring of premature babies, deep brain stimulation and the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
• You can gain valuable professional experience – and receive a Diploma of Employability Studies – by taking a work placement with the NHS or one of our industrial partners between years two and three.
• Our highly experienced team of professional engineers and qualified healthcare practitioners are on hand to give you the support you need to succeed in your studies and establish your career in biomedical engineering.
• If you are applying for our four-year MEng biomedical engineering degree, you will not only be able to gain an integrated masters qualification once you’ve completed the fourth year of the degree, you will also be able to receive student loan funding to cover your course fees.  Continuation on the MEng degree is subject to you achieving a good academic profile in years one and two.
• Biomedical engineering studies gives you the ultimate stepping-stone to a number of global career opportunities in a rapidly expanding field. You will graduate from our course with career options in a variety of sections, including  clinical or rehabilitation engineering, bioinstrumentation, biomaterials, biomechanics, and medical imaging.

It is estimated that one in four people seek professional support for a mental health problem and therefore there is high demand for psychological therapies and interventions. This programme is aimed at those who wish to develop careers in psychological therapy or mental health by building on your knowledge, practical skills, experience and confidence when applying for highly competitive roles such as Assistant Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Research Assistant.

This programme will provide you with the academic, practical and research skills you need to continue onto further professional training in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, psychotherapy, clinical research, and health management.

You will be introduced to a range of approaches to psychological therapy and intervention and will be supported to develop a range of therapeutic communication and intervention skills both in workshops and through work experience.

As part of the Masters programme, you will also acquire the knowledge and skills required to critically assess research in therapeutic psychology and to undertake research in a topic that is relevant to psychological therapies or interventions.  You will be taught by staff who are therapy practitioners and researchers in mental health, psychological wellbeing and trauma.

Please note that this programme does not lead to a therapy practitioner qualification.
