Physiology is a scientific discipline that’s essential to medical practice and human health. How you’ll practice your skills

• Using specialist equipment, you’ll have the chance to investigate and record electrical brain activity, monitor nerve pathways, and rhythm, rate, and functioning of the heart. • External specialists from related industries frequently visit our campus to give talks. We have excellent relationships with prestigious NHS trusts, such as Guy’s and St Thomas’, UCLH, College Hospital, and many more. We use these relationships to help you secure placements and gain exposure to the industry. We also give you the opportunity to take an optional placement year.
• Past graduates from this course have gone on to roles like applied physiologist, exercise physiologist, clinical scientist, and many others. Our multi-disciplinary biomedical engineering course mixes engineering with biomedical science and physiology. This provides you with a solid understanding of the technological developments taking place in the fields of medical engineering and bioengineering.

You will build on your previous experience in applied mathematics, physics, or other sciences. During your course you will enhance your engineering knowledge and gain specialist skills which will help you to design and improve existing and emergent systems, devices and treatments.

• With the help of our expert teaching staff, you’ll get to grips with specialist procedures such as psychophysiological monitoring, electroencephalography (EEG) and brain imaging techniques.
• By providing you a specialist skillset that applies to a variety of careers in science and non-science sectors, our neuroscience course opens up career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, academia and teaching. You enrol on a four-year course, which includes the one-year foundation course. Put your knowledge into practice
Our fashion design degree makes work experience part of your learning from the very start. In your second year, you’ll undertake a six-week work placement working with designers as they prepare for London Fashion Week. In the past, our students have worked with fashion giants like Burberry, Erdem, Molly Goddard and Peter Pillotto.

First and second year students will also participate in a end-of-year degree presentation, where third year students showcase their creative talents to industry experts.

This course aims to provide you with a sound knowledge of psychology, having been developed to impart the advanced knowledge required to serve your interests and career aspirations. This conversion course is for graduates intending to pursue a career in psychology who wish to acquire the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society. You may have a degree in another subject but wish to either change career or pursue your interest in psychology in more depth. Students are introduced to the broad range of theoretical and methodological approaches to psychology and are encouraged to develop a critical approach to studies, evaluating theory and evidence accordingly.
