BA Business Management (Supply Chain and Logistics)

In today’s business world, success is increasingly hinged on the speed and efficiency of supply chains. In this course ,you’ll learn what it’s like to compete in the global marketplace and organisations that require employees to have both a broad understanding of how businesses operate and specialist knowledge of supply chain processes.

In recent decades, organisations have become increasingly reliant on effective supply chains in order to compete in the global market. This course equips you with a global view of the strategic and operational processes you need to manage the key functions of these supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management and production planning. This BA is an independent, studio-based programme which looks specifically at illustration as professional practice. Learn to challenge the boundaries of illustration in a creative studio environment with your peers, and discover where you can make a difference in the exciting world of illustration. You will have extensive access to some of the best workshop facilities in the country, including print processes such as etching, lithography, silkscreen, lino and monoprint, as well as a letterpress workshop and digital and traditional photographic studios and darkrooms.

We have an excellent record of success in international competitions. Past students have achieved many D&AD gold awards in a number of categories such as, Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation and Interactive design. We have also been shortlisted in the Macmillan Children’s Book Prize for many years, first prize in the 2012 Observer/Jonathan Cape/Comica Award, joint runner up in the Threadneedle Prize at Mall Galleries, and nominated for the Penguin Book cover prize.

We have strong links with the illustration industry, from publishers, illustration agents, and practising illustrators to graphic and packaging designers, magazine editors, App and Games Design.  As part of the course, you will enter international creative industry competitions and tackle many live briefs. Most recently students have produced a graphic novel and an online graphic novel for two museums and work for the BBC iWonder website and all year groups get to participate in an annual central London exhibition.

Gain specialist illustration skills

We ensure that you graduate from our course with the specialist skills you’ll need to approach agents, set up studios, and produce a website as you start on your career path. Many of our students go on to work in magazine publishing, editorial illustration, advertising, animation, and more. We have strong industry links with art and design employers. Industry partners sponsor final students as well as give visiting lectures while hundreds of agencies and organisations attend the final degree show each year.

Our course is unique in that as soon as possible, we will provide you with an individual workspace that you can treat as your own studio throughout your studies. Previous students have told us that this helped them with feeling creatively fulfilled. As part of your blended learning, you will also have access to our amazing workshops as illustration students often use the printmaking and digital media workshops, laser cutting and photographic studios.

In your second and third year, you'll have the opportunity to enter Creative Industry competitions such as the Macmillan's Children's Book Prize. Past graduates have won many yellow pencils in the D&AD while others have been shortlisted for the Folio Society and Macmillan children’s book prize.

The Foundation Year in 3D Design is a creative and inspiring multidisciplinary course encouraging students to explore different aspects of design. It builds confidence, helps students identify their strengths and develops skills and techniques. The course offers an experimental diagnostic approach exploring different creative pathways and clarifies industry specialisms to help students choose possible career paths in the creative industries.

BA Honours Interior Design

Interior design courses are rapidly growing in demand. Interior design is a vital part of our everyday lives, from home and the work place, shops and restaurants to hotels, museums and other public buildings. How you’ll apply your new skills

This versatile master's degree combines cognitive and clinical approaches to neuroscience. We provide performance opportunities in our state of the art facilities, which include four fully equipped dance studios, plus a specialist dance theatre, and through our strong artistic relationships with external professional venues. There are a wide range of opportunities for you once you graduate across the creative industries. Previously, graduates have worked with some of the best dance companies in the UK and further abroad, while others go on to work in choreography, arts administration jobs in world renowned organisations, teaching in the private and public sectors, and further study.

Physiology is a scientific discipline that’s essential to medical practice and human health. Our degree will give you a theoretical understanding of bodily functions, from cells and tissues through to organ systems. You’ll be taught by a dedicated team of academics and clinical practitioners, using a wide range of learning styles. The course will focus on the diagnosis of disease, assessment of human fitness, and performance under difficult environmental conditions.

• Using specialist equipment, you’ll have the chance to investigate and record electrical brain activity, monitor nerve pathways, and rhythm, rate, and functioning of the heart. Our expert tutors will be on hand to guide you through the process while helping you to develop technical and soft skills. You’ll also get the experience of designing your very own research experiments.
• External specialists from related industries frequently visit our campus to give talks. We have excellent relationships with prestigious NHS trusts, such as Guy’s and St Thomas’, UCLH, College Hospital, and many more. We use these relationships to help you secure placements and gain exposure to the industry. We also give you the opportunity to take an optional placement year.
• Past graduates from this course have gone on to roles like applied physiologist, exercise physiologist, clinical scientist, and many others. Our games design course is designed to give you a skill set that’s resilient to the rapid changes in an expanding and evolving industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience that will help you build your portfolio and develop your experience in a wide range of design skills that will open up career opportunities in a broad range of creative industries.

The games industry is  complex and diverse industry that spans a variety of old and new technologies fm print to computer software to 3D printed game pieces. Our BA/BSc in games design gives you the transferable skills and knowledge you need to become a successful games designer in this industry. Led by academic staff experienced in AAA, indie, tabletop and mobile gaming, you'll develop your technology and story development skills, as well as enhancing your game-play design expertise.

Depending on your interests, you will work on the technical side of games design and testing in the BSc, while the BA is focused on experience design and using scripting and games engines to produce satisfying gameplay experiences.
