The Art History with Creative Writing BA (Hons) will allow you to study the full range of artistic expression and hone your writing skills. The programme combines cultural surveys with more intense, media-specific subjects including architecture, landscape and painting. Through your Creative Writing minor, you’ll develop the tools to approach a broad range of literary forms from a creative and critical perspective, from short fiction to immersive journalism, poetry, and scriptwriting.

Develop your historical knowledge and your ability to communicate it effectively by exploring a broad range of historical periods from the Roman Empire through to present-day America in depth, while learning to effectively use databases, systems and analytical tools to generate insights and intelligence.

Studying the History with Data Science BA (Hons), you will develop both your historical knowledge and your ability to communicate it effectively. You will explore a broad range of historical periods from the Roman Empire through to present-day America in depth, and take courses examining the historical discipline itself, and its practice and applications. The single honours Law LLB allows you to go into extra depth in the study of law. For your Law minor, you will study key issues in Law thematically, allowing you to develop commercial awareness highly valued by a range of employers.

The Law with History LLB (Hons) is a Qualifying Law Degree, covering all of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board required areas of study to permit progression onto the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister.

The Philosophy with Creative Writing BA (Hons) will teach you to write and analyse texts and arguments with clarity, rigour, and originality. The Philosophy major will give you the ability to engage with central questions, arguments, theories and texts concerning the world and our place within it. You’ll learn about the logic behind language and meaning, alongside studying topics such as ethics, metaphysics and aesthetics. The Creative Writing minor will enable you to express your philosophical judgements in a variety of forms, from short fiction to poetry to scriptwriting, as has been established practice in the history of philosophy.
