For your Creative Writing minor, you will develop your writing in a variety of forms from poetry, scriptwriting, short stories to creative nonfiction, enabling you to communicate your legal arguments with clarity.

The Politics with Psychology BSc (Hons) combines the study of Politics & International Relations with Psychology.

The MSc Responsible Artificial Intelligence is a well-integrated programme of study with a targeted focus on both in theory and in application. The Philosophy & Cognitive Science BA (Hons) combines a major in Philosophy with dual minors in Data Science and Psychology.

Your major studies in Philosophy will investigate topics including ethics, logic, metaphysics, philosophy of the mind, and the philosophy of science. The Data Science minor explores the techniques underpinning artificial intelligence including coding in Python, machine learning, and natural language processing, as well as theoretical and practical issues surrounding AI and data ethics. The Psychology minor surveys fundamental principles, concepts, experiments, and issues in the major areas of contemporary scientific psychology. You’ll develop the quantitative skills needed to interpret contemporary economics as practised, alongside the ability to analyse the theory behind both economic and historical study of the world.

In a world of transborder digital connections, with escalating social activism, fake news, cybercrime and artificial intelligence, digital sovereignty, sustainability and security are at the intersection of the most pressing contemporary 21st Century Politics problems.

Contemporary International Relations (IR) faces two main challenges: the first relates to ecological sustainability and the second to digital spaces. Both challenges pose new power shifts, influences and organisational structures in an increasingly interconnected world. These challenges are often regarded separately, however they are both uniquely complex and multifaceted.

The MSc in Digital Politics and Sustainable Development is an interdisciplinary programme, looking at how these two challenges interact and the unique approaches to tackle them. Drawing on political science, political theory, philosophy, and computer science, you will explore the increasingly urgent phenomena of social activism, fake news, cybercrime, artificial intelligence, and sustainability within a unique and compelling programme.
