The Philosophy with Economics BA (Hons) will enable you to analyse the world with clarity, precision and rigour. You’ll engage with central questions, arguments and theories concerning our place in the world and what our actions ought to be. In the Economics minor, you’ll study how people act, and how we can influence them to act otherwise. You’ll learn about all the factors that dictate the real events and decisions that are taking place in the world today, as well as developing the quantitative skills needed to engage with the subject as commonly practised.

The Law with Data Science LLB (Hons) is a Qualifying Law Degree, covering all of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board required areas of study to permit progression onto the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister.

The English with Art History BA (Hons) will allow you to study the full range of artistic expression. You’ll take courses covering literature from 1550 to the present day, and you’ll explore forms of literature such as political speeches, the plays of Shakespeare, and responses to them.  For your Art History minor, you’ll study different forms of visual art in detail and their aesthetic and cultural contexts. The Philosophy with Art History BA will help you bring a clarity and rigour to your thinking about topics such as morality, metaphysics, and art. Particularly of interest for you will be the third year philosophy course in Aesthetics – studying the philosophy of beauty and the philosophy of art, ranging from Plato’s claim that we should rid ourselves of all poets to Hegel and Arthur Danto’s assertion that art has ended. You will also, in your minor, study particular artistic media, such as painting, ceramics and architecture.
