Our Economics with Law BSc (Hons) will provide you with a full understanding of the forces shaping the way we live. Studying Economics, you’ll engage with the structures that make for wealth and well-being, as well as learning the quantitative skills needed to engage with academic economics as commonly practised. In your Law studies, you will learn about the legal forces which constrain how individuals act, and which thus have an impact on the wider societal structures that you will study in Economics. 

Learn how people have lived, and how states have attempted to shape and influence those lives throughout history from the Roman Empire through to modern day America. Examine the practice and applications of history, and compare political institutions of different countries, analysing their legitimacy to dictate over their subjects. 

Your study of the History with Politics & International Relations BA (Hons) will provide a full understanding of how people have lived, and how states have attempted to shape and influence those lives throughout history. You will study periods from the Roman Empire through to modern day America, drawing on complex and often contradictory sources. You will also take courses examining the practice and applications of the historical discipline itself. In the Politics & IR minor, you’ll compare the political institutions of different countries, analysing their legitimacy to dictate over their subjects and how they interact with other organisations.

Our Economics with History BSc (Hons) teaches you about the structures which affect real-life decisions and events around the world, as well as gaining a rigorous knowledge of the historical contexts leading to those events. You’ll develop the quantitative skills needed to interpret contemporary economics as practised, alongside the ability to analyse the theory behind both economic and historical study of the world.

Learn to analyse and make arguments with clarity, rigour, and originality and to engage with central questions, arguments, theories and texts concerning the world and our place within it.

The Philosophy with Law BA (Hons) will equip you to analyse and make arguments with clarity, rigour, and originality. The Philosophy major will give you the ability to engage with central questions, arguments, theories and texts concerning the world and our place within it. Your study of logic will be complemented by your Law minor, for which you will explore key issues in Law thematically. The diverse skills developed make graduates of Philosophy with Law highly employable in a variety of sectors.

Through your Economics major, you will learn to develop quantitative skills and study the structures which affect real-life decisions around the world. Your Data Science minor will complement your major by training you to analyse data and effectively extract useful information.

The Law with Philosophy LLB (Hons) is a Qualifying Law Degree, covering all of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board required areas of study to permit progression onto the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister.

The Law with Philosophy LLB (Hons) will allow you to prepare for your career and follow your passions. In your degree, you will take all of the courses required for a Qualifying Law Degree, preparing you to take the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister. Your Philosophy minor will complement your study of Law, bringing clarity and rigour to your thinking while you develop your understanding of and ability to engage with central philosophical questions, arguments theories and texts.

The Combined Honours Law LLB is a Qualifying Law Degree, covering all of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board required areas of study to permit progression onto the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister.

Your Law with English LLB (Hons) will allow you to prepare for your career and follow your passions. In your degree, you will take all of the courses required for a Qualifying Law Degree, preparing you to take the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister. You will also study three courses in English, allowing you to develop complementary skills of analysis – of legal and fictional texts – and essay writing.

The Art History with Law BA (Hons) will allow you to follow your passion and prepare for your career. The Art History major gives you the opportunity to see and interpret moments in history through their architecture and material culture. The course combines cultural surveys with more intense, media-specific subjects including architecture, landscape and painting. For your Law minor, you will study key issues in Law thematically, allowing you to develop commercial awareness highly valued by a range of employers.

Examine the organisation of government, questions of political science and institution-building with your Politics & IR major, while complementing these studies by exploring biological, cognitive, and psychosocial areas of contemporary scientific psychology.

The Politics with Psychology BSc (Hons) combines the study of Politics & International Relations with Psychology.
Your Psychology minor complements these studies by exploring biological, cognitive, and psychosocial areas of contemporary scientific psychology, leading to differences in social behaviours and attitudes and personality dynamics.

This innovative degree allows you to consider how the psychology of individuals shapes government, as well as how sociocultural links affect international relations. You will gain valuable skills in critical thinking, communication and the analysis of behaviour, which will prepare you for a range of careers in public and private sectors, such as policymaking, civil service, marketing and communications and consulting.
