Our Economics with Politics & International Relations BSc (Hons) is designed to teach you how to think critically about how the world operates, with a particular focus on governments and political institutions within them. An advanced understanding of economics will give you key insights into political decision-making and policy. Through your major, you will develop quantitative skills to understand and evaluate economic events and decisions in the real world. This will be complemented by your study of political theory, the organisation of government, and international relations for your minor.

The Combined Honours Law LLB is a Qualifying Law Degree, covering all of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board required areas of study to permit progression onto the professional training courses for qualification as a solicitor or barrister.

You will engage with literary criticism, as well as well as studying literature from 1550 to the present day. You’ll complement these studies with the both theoretical and applied nature of studying law, in which you will use your skills of language analysis to make precise arguments about the nature of different legal documents.

The Politics & International Relations with Art History BSc (Hons) will provide you with knowledge of the kinds of institutions people live under, and how artists and culture have responded to those institutions. You’ll compare the political institutions of different countries, analysing from where they derive their legitimacy and how they interact with other organisations. You’ll take a course in political theory, questioning not only how these institutions work, but also how thinkers have theorised they ought to work. At the same time, you’ll take a survey course that will provide a broad overview of the history of European art, as well as studying more media-specific courses focusing on paintings, architecture, and so on. 

The MSc Responsible Artificial Intelligence is a well-integrated programme of study with a targeted focus on both in theory and in application. Presupposing no background in computing, students are equipped with relevant knowledge and data programming skills, covering not only recent technical developments, but also broader ethical and theoretical considerations.

The option to study philosophical issues of AI whilst pursuing a Masters level computing degree is a unique offering in the UK, allowing students the opportunity to delve on the technical as well as the societal impact of data processing and, in particular, machine learning applications.

The Economics minor enables you to understand and think rigorously about economic theory, and about the causes, consequences and implications of economic events, trends and ideas.

The Politics with Psychology BSc (Hons) combines the study of Politics & International Relations with Psychology.
Your Psychology minor complements these studies by exploring biological, cognitive, and psychosocial areas of contemporary scientific psychology, leading to differences in social behaviours and attitudes and personality dynamics.

This innovative degree allows you to consider how the psychology of individuals shapes government, as well as how sociocultural links affect international relations.
