Get a flying start and accelerate your progress towards being an ICAEW Chartered Accountant by putting classroom theory into commercial practice, with integrated paid work placements.

The ‘Flying Start’ degree is a collaboration between Newcastle University, PwC and ICAEW. It is the most established degree of its kind. It combines academic study and integrated paid professional work placements in PwC’s Audit practice. You'll progress towards the ICAEW Chartered Accountancy qualification, the ACA.

Gain high-quality translation and interpreting skills through this Translating and Interpreting MA. You'll work with Chinese and English languages and receive professional and academic training.

This master's in translation and interpreting uses English and Chinese as working languages.

This course has two stages. Each stage lasts one year. You can either:

• Join the course at Stage 1 and follow the two-year course
• Or join at Stage 2 and follow the one-year course (this depends on your previous qualifications and experience)

Our Biochemistry integrated master's degree studies life at the molecular level. You'll develop an understanding of what causes diseases like cancer and how new technologies and drug treatments can help patients.

You’ll explore the chemical processes that occur in cells of other living organisms, from bacteria to humans. You'll also gain knowledge and skills in molecular biology, biomedical sciences, biotechnology.

You’ll learn how analytical techniques used by the industry – particularly the pharmaceutical or biotech companies – are used to discover or design new drugs or solve environmental problems.

This Landscape Architecture course will improve your ability to think critically about the design of place and space. You'll develop advanced skills to deal with complex aspects of landscape design and planning in a creative and innovative way.

You'll develop a practical understanding of the theories, methods and techniques that are applied to landscape architecture. Much of what you learn in this Landscape Architecture course is applicable worldwide.

On graduation you'll be equipped for advanced practice in landscape-related disciplines. The Landscape Architecture Studies MA is ideal if you want to:

This research master's in Spanish includes taught and research-based elements. You'll focus in-depth on one aspect of Spanish studies such as linguistics, culture, history and politics of Latin America, the Spanish novel and Latin American film.
