Our BA (Hons) Fine Art degree course encourages ‘thinking through making’ and you will explore the breadth of fine art with workshops in painting, print, sculpture, mixed media and video. You will use project spaces and external venues for performance, display and curation.

Taking Year 0 at the beginning of your degree course will get your studies at Norwich University of the Arts off to a flying start. The extra year of study will help you explore creative ideas and begin to develop the practical skills, research techniques and ways of thinking that are essential to undergraduate success.

You will explore how words and images can come to life on the page and screen to tell stories and to deliver information. Our highly regarded course will nurture your love of type, typography, typefaces, image creation and art direction.

You will use industry-standard software to explore a broad range of editorial design approaches from storytelling with text and images to mastering typography, book binding and specialist print finishing, to complex data visualisation and infographics.

Our BA (Hons) Graphic Communication degree is closely aligned to industry and you will work on a wide variety of briefs set by staff, professional design agencies and external competitions.

Our new BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Business degree course will offer you an insight into the commercial fundamentals, marketing strategies and core brand development techniques that are used to run the fashion industry today.

You’ll create dynamic marketing campaigns, retail concepts, buying proposals and business plans that will allow you fully understand and operate within successful fashion businesses.

Specialise

Depending on your specialism, you’ll have the chance to engage with a wide range of audio-visual methods. These include: 2D Digital; CGI and stop motion animation film and moving image production; motion graphics; scripting and narrative; pre-production and post-production skills and techniques; sound design.

However you choose to shape your study, you’ll graduate with a deeper understanding of your own practise and a broader appreciation of how to apply your skillset in a variety of professional settings.

Combining creativity, craft skills and technological innovation, our MA Textile Design Masters degree course will develop and refine your expert knowledge of textile design.

You’ll work at the forefront of the discipline, embracing the latest digital and technological advancements while developing a clear understanding of the market and the commercial potential of your work.

Hone your textile design skills

You’ll be encouraged to push your imagination and stretch the boundaries of the discipline through creative use of materials, processes and concepts.

Our BA (Hons) Animation degree course will encourage your individual creative exploration and development helping you choose which specialism to focus on.

You will master the magic of bringing characters and stories to life through a range of animation techniques at NUA – from 2D, 3D CG to stop motion.

Interactive lectures and practical workshops will help you explore character design and sculpting.

You will learn the fundamentals of animated storytelling through workshops and masterclasses in dynamics, storyboarding and character creation.
