This is a flexible degree with optional units to choose from in Years 2 and 4. In your first year, you’ll study with Management and International Management students. You’ll benefit from learning in a diverse class with students who have different backgrounds and ambitions.
Placement Year
The year-long placement in a marketing role will let you apply your skills and knowledge in a real working environment. Recent employers include L’Oréal, Disney and Firebrand Training. Work placements are usually paid. Our dedicated and experienced Placements Team will support you all the way.

Develop a critical and practical understanding of sport management and development, coaching, physical education and the sociology and psychology of sport.
This degree is designed for those who wish to examine the role of sport, health and physical activity within society.

Master of Science in Applied Forensic Psychology with Counselling
Take a first step towards a career in forensic psychology settings on this BPS accredited course, with a compulsory placement and focus on counselling skills.
This degree provides the background psychological knowledge, professional skills and relevant experience you need to move confidently into working psychologically within the legal, criminal and civil justice systems.

Master of Physics with Astrophysics (Hons) with Study Year Abroad and Research Placement
Apply the full breadth of physics to a wide range of astrophysical phenomena from star formation to black hole growth and the expansion of the Universe.
Physics with Astrophysics at Bath will give you a strong grounding in physics, along with in-depth specialist knowledge of astrophysics. You’ll learn how to combine evidence from stellar and extragalactic astronomy to build consistent theoretical models of the evolution of galaxies.
Topics covered include exoplanets, galaxies, cosmology, stars and stellar evolution, general relativity and high energy astrophysics. There'll also be opportunities for you to carry out both observational and computational astrophysics projects alongside our astrophysics research group.
Placement Year
As an MPhys student, you’ll be able to undertake a research placement in the final year of the course. You’ll spend six months (July to December) working in a research organisation of international standing, before returning to the University for the final semester. We have links with leading research organisations, including CERN, NTT Basic Research Laboratories (Japan), European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (France) and Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

Explore the intersection of gender and politics on one of the only master’s in the UK focused on these two subjects combined.
With gender at last being given centre stage as a political issue, now is a particularly interesting time to be looking at politics and gender in combination.
Delving into this fascinating area, this MA will give you a deep insight into issues related to gender and the contemporary world.
You’ll explore how gender intersects with politics, international relations, political theory and public policy.

In your first two years, you'll learn core elements of electronic, electrical and mechanical engineering. To become a skilled engineer, you need good technical design knowledge. That’s why our course places project work at the centre of your learning experience. In this course, you’ll examine the challenges facing individuals, countries and the international community.
