With gender at last being given centre stage as a political issue, now is a particularly interesting time to be looking at politics and gender in combination.

Delving into this fascinating area, this MA will give you a deep insight into issues related to gender and the contemporary world.

You’ll explore how gender intersects with politics, international relations, political theory and public policy.

Other topics covered include the politics of gender inequality, and the part gender can play in the peace and reconciliation of countries; and gender in political representation, and the steps needed to make electoral organizations more gender-equal.

You’ll be joining a well-established team of academics specializing in gender and politics. We have a growing Gender and Sexuality Research Group at the University.

This is also currently one of the only MA courses in the UK focusing specifically on politics and gender, giving you a stand-out qualification.

Do you aspire to contribute to the future of an expanding industry in engineering? Our course will help you do this by advancing your knowledge of robotics, artificial intelligence and electronics systems at the forefront of engineering and design.

In your first two years, you'll learn core elements of electronic, electrical and mechanical engineering. A you'll combine this with aspects of computer science, giving you a comprehensive overview of robotics engineering. You'll be supported by, and benefit from, academic staff who are advancing research in our Centre for Autonomous Robotics (CENTAUR).

To become a skilled engineer, you need good technical design knowledge. That’s why our course places project work at the centre of your learning experience. Group projects challenge you to work in teams to solve practical engineering problems using communication, teamwork and management skills. You can also join one of our student teams who compete annually. These include Team Bath Racing Electric, Team Bath Drones and the autonomous underwater systems team.

Developed in consultation with industry experts, this course is aimed at students with a background in chemistry, biosciences, pharmacy or pharmacology who are looking to move into the exciting field of drug development.

You will become familiar with a range of concepts and research techniques in drug discovery including target identification and validation, screening platforms, optimisation of small molecule drugs and biotherapeutics, and the importance of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.

Depending on your undergraduate degree, you will also follow either a biology or chemistry training track alongside your drug discovery studies. Study across the discipline with a focus on biological, cognitive, developmental and social psychology with options including clinical and health psychology.

This is a science degree that offers you insights into many aspects of psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS). You’ll gain a solid grounding across the discipline with a focus on biological psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology and individual differences.
