Combining the academic excellence and industrial networks from our outstanding School of Management and Faculty of Engineering & Design, our course builds your skills in leadership and management and teaches you how to apply them in an engineering context. You'll explore the impact of new technologies and how they relate to management in the engineering sector. Your studies will include business analysis, product development and supply chain management.

Throughout the course, you'll develop a strong foundation in management essentials such as project management, strategy, operations and finance. You'll also have the opportunity to focus on areas of management that are most interesting to you.

Placement Year

As an MPhys student, you can choose to undertake a research placement in the final year of the course. You’ll spend six months (July to December) working in a research organisation of international standing, before returning to the University for the final semester.
