Our materials chemists are leading on the development of exciting projects in functional polymers for the detection of bacteria, the use of nanomaterials in drug delivery and the use of novel molecular organic frameworks for hydrogen storage.

The materials chemistry curriculum has been designed around a solid understanding of the fundamental science, and an appreciation of the exciting applications possible with these new materials.

During the first two years, you will develop a sound understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry, with core content delivered across the traditional areas of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. 

Our LLB (Hons) degree gives you a rigorous academic legal education and a thorough grounding in legal, academic and clinical skills needed for you to pursue a career as a solicitor or barrister, as well as equipping you for employment in other areas if you choose not to go on to a professional qualification in law.

The programme is taught by a mix of academic experts and practitioner lawyers, who put real world clinical legal experience at the heart of the programme.

You’ll develop a critical grasp of the law and its political, social and economic contexts.

Our LLB programme is flexible in structure and has core first and second years including all seven law foundation subjects. This gives you the ability to switch to a more specialist LLB in the final year and tailor your study to a particular aspect of law by choosing options relating to criminal law, commercial law or social justice or choosing a range of options. By completing the foundation subjects early, this will also put you in a good position to obtain law work experience and placement opportunities and enhance your employability. Exciting new opportunities for chemical intervention in disease have emerged based on a greater understanding of the molecular aspects of disease progression. Drug discovery combines the expertise of medicinal chemists required in translating the understanding of the molecular aspects of disease progression to the identification of suitable chemical entities, and the process of optimisation that ultimately leads to the discovery of new medicines.

This exciting course run by the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics is designed to provide you with a 'state-of-the-art' education in modern drug discovery, which meets the demand of employers in the pharmaceutical industry.

Opportunities to learn the latest innovations in drug discovery are provided, including computer-aided drug design and techniques in parallel synthesis, as well as electronic data management.

As a University of Bradford chemistry student, you will have choice and flexibility in your degree.

The new MA in International Relations and Security Studies explores themes of peace and conflict studies, including:

• War, violence and security-building between and within states and regions
• Tackling WMD, conventional arms proliferation, political violence and terrorism
• Development and operation of international and regional institutions
• Past and present transnational challenges in international and regional diplomacy
• Contemporary global challenges such as environmental degradation, trafficking/crime and migration

You will develop an advanced academic and policy relevant understanding of international relations and security, along with analytical skills that are in high demand within institutional politics, NGO and lobbying organisations.

The MSc in Psychology offer a fast-track route to eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society, provided a minimum standard of 50% is achieved.

This means that applicants will normally already have studied some psychology at undergraduate level in a previous degree programme and now wish to undertake further study in order to allow the opportunity for specialisation in psychology in the future.

Graduates gain a professional Master's qualification in physiotherapy, opening up a range of career opportunities as a physiotherapist in the sport, exercise and health and wellbeing sectors. It also provides foundation for further research study.

MPhysiotherapy Sport and Exercise Medicine contains all the modules from the University’s highly regarded BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme. This curriculum is extended with additional sport and exercise specific modules and enhanced research.

You will undertake a range of placements in professional and amateur sport settings, including the University's Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation Clinic, as well other physiotherapy settings.

The MA in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies provides an advanced understanding of the inter-relationships between conflict, development, security, and governance in developing, fragile, transitional and/or conflict affected regions and countries. You’ll gain the understanding and skills you need to pursue or develop a career in what is now a major area for international, national and local policy and practitioner communities. You’ll be equipped to work across many sectors including:
