This course builds knowledge and skills in the planning and management of development projects and programmes. It is designed to deepen critical understanding of the strategies, processes, techniques and issues involved in taking ideas for development and turning them into practical realities with identifiable outcomes and benefits.

The focus of the course is on development projects in the public or third (voluntary or community) sectors, but the underlying principles are applicable to all types of project, including those for commercial benefit.

MPhysiotherapy Sport and Exercise Medicine contains all the modules from the University’s highly regarded BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme. This curriculum is extended with additional sport and exercise specific modules and enhanced research.

Securing initial employment as an analytical chemist is greatly helped by having hands-on experience of using analytical instruments. The University of Bradford’s Centre for Chemical and Structural Analysis is based within Chemistry and Forensic Sciences, and is involved in commercial work as well as supporting research within the university. The equipment and expertise in the centre forms an integral part of our Analytical Chemistry degree, giving students the real-world experience that makes them stand out in the jobs market.

The smart grid is a modern form of the traditional power grid, which brings computer technology to a standard electricity grid; allowing easier communication between energy retailers, distributors, and customers.

Smart grids can help to integrate an increasing amount of renewable energy sources (RES) into the grid. RES present a challenge to traditional electricity grids because they are often both intermittent and difficult to predict. Smart grids help network companies to remotely anticipate and respond to problems so repair crews from your local distributor can fix power outages faster.

Energy companies and businesses are already exploring how to adopt RES into the grid but they lack Smart Grids management skills and knowledge among employees. Forensic Archaeology is the specialist application of archaeological techniques to the search and recovery of evidential material from crime scenes, often but not always related to buried human remains.

This course is taught by staff with extensive crime scene experience who regularly work on a range of operations and are at the forefront of the professional development of the discipline.

The course will:

• Provide you with advanced practical, analytical and interpretative skills in forensic archaeology
• Provide training in discipline skills to enable graduates to pursue careers in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI)
