In recent years, the nature of civil engineering work has changed rapidly, with an increased interest in areas such as smart buildings and motorways, building information modelling and the use of sensors and robotics.

Nowadays, engineers require strong computational skills in addition to technical engineering knowledge, in order to provide suitable engineering solutions to meet the infrastructure needs of society.

This programme will equip you with a solid understanding of the applied computational tools in civil engineering, which can be applied to many real-life engineering problems. Oir International Nursing Studies programme is theoretically focused, developed specifically for the international student working towards an advanced practice role. The vision for this Award is to develop nurses/midwives who are able to actively engage in lifelong learning, work effectively with people of varied cultures, beliefs and practices and evaluate evidence-based practice and literature to inform, advance and lead practice and service delivery.

This course emphasises the study of archaeological human remains within their funerary context.

It builds upon the School's extensive research in human osteology and palaeopathology and related research expertise in field archaeology, archaeozoology, molecular archaeology and archaeological biogeochemistry.

The course strongly emphasises the integration of biological and archaeological evidence to address problem-orientated research themes and the application of scientific methods to unravelling the human past.

It provides advanced instruction in the identification and analysis of human remains, the techniques and methods applied to understanding human skeletal morphological variation, and the means by which to assess pathological conditions affecting the skeleton.

The course provides access to our world renowned collection of reference material (The Bradford Human Remains Collection), hands-on experience in the School's laboratories, and a substantial individual research dissertation.

As a University of Bradford chemistry student, you will have choice and flexibility in your degree. Skin Science and Stem Cell Biology is the study of the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in tissue regeneration; study of which is ultimately aimed at the treatment of human disease by producing replacement cells, tissues and organs. Although still in relative infancy, this exciting new field of tissue engineering is rapidly growing in importance, as recognised by the 2012 Nobel Prize in Medicine which was awarded for research in this field.

The Skin Science and Stem Cell Biology programme at Bradford has been designed to allow students to focus on acquiring specialised scientific knowledge and practical skills in stem cell biology related to skin sciences, with a particular emphasis on the potential applications in the treatment of skin disorders as well as the relevance to regenerative medicine.

The MA Advanced Practice in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution is offered by the internationally recognised Department of Peace Studies and International Development, drawing on over 40 years of experience as a leading centre of peace research and education.

The programme will develop your understanding of the causes and dynamics of social conflict, with a strong focus on case-study analysis. It will allow you to develop informed judgements about when and how to engage constructively with conflict, recognising the strengths and limitations of different approaches to intervention. And you will consider critical questions surrounding and problematising efforts to build peace in different contexts, and in the light of contemporary trends, including converging environmental, economic and political developments.
