Overview
This specialist program will appeal to graduates aiming for a managerial or consulting career within global operations, logistics or supply chain management in the private, public or third sector. You will learn how to manage and improve global supply chain operations and develop an appreciation of its role and function in the context of international organisations.
This new program examines the effects of global trade and business and the significance of grand challenges, such as: increasing digitalisation and innovation in product/service development; international environmental sustainability regulation; and corporate social responsibility and ethics issues.
The program reflects contemporary themes and developments within operations and supply chain management. You will explore how global supply chains are managed and will acquire the skills and confidence to challenge, innovate and solve problems.
We enjoy close links with industry, government and voluntary sectors, providing opportunities to engage with supply chain professionals. You will hear from sector experts in guest lectures and there may be the option to take part in a live consulting project with a client organisation.
You will engage with the 21st-century challenges of supply chain management and will apply your knowledge to solve business problems, improving your decision-making skills and practice capabilities. The knowledge and skills you gain will give you a competitive advantage in your future career.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). This means that on completion of the course students with the required work experience can apply to become full members of CIPS without taking further examinations.

Our BA Comparative Literatures and Cultures degree offers an unmatched opportunity to study international cultural production in depth and breadth. You will study global literatures and cultures in comparative frameworks that draw on methodologies from textual, cultural and visual studies, as well as from translation, philosophy, history, social science and critical theory. Texts will be read in English translation.
Core units in years one and two currently include: What is Comparative Literature and How Do We Practise It?; Introduction to Visual Cultures; Popular Representation and Institutions of Culture; Migrations of Culture. This course gives you a thorough grounding in physics with astrophysics as a key component. It is led by an internationally renowned astrophysics research group and covers a broad range of contemporary astrophysics.
Study areas begin with a broad overview of all of the modern astrophysics followed by more advanced topics. These could include high-energy astrophysics, galaxy formation and evolution, general relativity and cosmology, and astrophysical fluids and plasmas.
Your final-year project will be with a member of the astrophysics research group. The group currently specialises in cosmology, the formation of clusters and galaxies, active galaxies, high-energy astrophysical processes, and the formation of extrasolar planets.
You will gain the skills needed for astronomical observations and analysis of data from international ground- and space-based observatories on this course. This course is ideal for students interested in learning more about how to use numbers and data within politics. About two thirds of your studies will follow the single honours BSc Politics and International Relations. You will study the politics of individual countries and governments and the relationships between countries, communities and individuals.
