Diagnostic radiographers play a vital role in healthcare by producing patient centred imaging services for the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and disease. Our BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging delivers the knowledge and clinical experience you require to become a skilled and competent diagnostic radiographer and reflects the rapidly changing face of healthcare in the UK.

This is a full-time three year vocational degree where Radiography students will learn a wide range of subjects to enable our graduates to be safe and confident practitioners, able to deliver high quality care to patients. You will learn human anatomy, physiology and pathology, using radiographic images, along with an understanding of the equipment used to image patients. During your training you will develop excellent communication skills and learn to work in a team environment putting the needs of the patient at the centre of everything you do. In addition, you will acquire an appreciation of research methods with respect to diagnostic radiography and the importance of evidence-based practice in relation to the profession.

The degree is delivered with student spending time each year at the University campus studying and gaining practical experience at our affiliated NHS hospitals developing where students become competent in the knowledge and skills they have been learning.

An understanding of the world from social, economic, political and environmental perspectives has never been more critical. Motorsport’s not just exciting entertainment, but also an important part of automotive development. It challenges engineers to be innovative in using the latest technologies to design high-performance vehicles. You’ll find most modules on this course are common with those on our general automotive engineering degree. However, you’ll also learn about aerodynamics of high- speed vehicles and high-performance engine design, testing and mapping. In your MEng year, you’ll deepen your understanding of the industry. One of the big highlights is to get involved in designing, building and racing a car at the IMechE Formula Student events. This course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is the first step towards chartered engineer status.

• This MEng in Automotive Engineering with Motorsport gives you the opportunity to design, build and race a single-seater race car in the UK Formula Student Competition and can get involved from your first year onwards, if you wish

Our BA Philosophy and Media degree allows you to learn more about how various media function and to examine the philosophical issues surrounding our attempts to represent the world. You’ll develop practical and theoretical knowledge of how various media techniques are implemented, whilst exploring and challenging the assumptions that frame the way we think, act and see the world around us.

In your first year, you’ll be introduced to a variety of ways in which communication can be achieved. You will learn to think critically by examining reasoning and persuasion and how that might be inflected by the medium in which it is conveyed, including the use of rhetoric and propaganda. You’ll also study social and political philosophy, covering topics such as freedom of speech, as well as examine the nature of knowledge and reality. There is also a philosophy module dedicated to exploring the scope and limits film and literature in what they can represent about reality.

In your final year, you’ll delve deeper into the media industry and into more specialist areas of Philosophy, including the opportunity to develop your understanding of the nature of communication in the philosophy of language module, or on the nature of the representation of women in the module on feminist philosophy.

This course considers current research and practice in computer networks and systems security. You will develop technical expertise and practical skills in the design, management and evaluation of networks, and in the use of tools and techniques for systems security. The Masters in Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire is for people who have degrees in other subjects, but who wish to obtain Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) [formerly known as Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society, which is the first necessary step towards becoming a professional psychologist.

On successfully completing the course, you will
