On our humanities-focused maritime archaeology master’s degree you’ll explore the changing relationship people have had with the world’s oceans and seas. You’ll study the technologies of seafaring, histories of environmental change, and submerged landscapes. This subject incorporates elements of traditional archaeology, ethnography, maritime history and marine science.

This course has a strong focus on employability. You’ll have the option to take practical modules looking at teaching, you could take advantage of our vacation work placement schemes and you’ll develop a wide range of transferable skills.

On this joint BA Philosophy and Music degree you’ll study some of the biggest questions in philosophy and develop skills in musical performance, composition and analysis. You’ll have the freedom to work on your own interests through optional modules covering varied topics. These include existentialism, studio techniques and nineteenth century Italian opera. You'll also get to spend a placement year abroad.
