Our MSc Education course is a 12-month degree for ambitious students who want to pursue or advance their career in education. You’ll critically examine the relationship between educational research and practice so you can find work in a variety of educational institutions at different levels.

On this MSc education course you’ll take a research-first approach, using evidence and data to inform discussion points within your written work and seminar contributions. You’ll learn to critically reflect on your own teaching and learning practices based on analysis of different teaching methods.

We’ll help you to navigate the educational system. You’ll analyse the challenges facing education and how regional, national and international policies can impact teaching and learning.

The MSc in Education Practice and Innovation examines professional development, inclusivity in education with a focus on contemporary teaching and learning models for innovation. It's for teachers who want to drive change and make a difference in an inclusive way.

On this master's in educational practice, you'll learn how to respond to the teaching needs of different types of learners, to give all students an equal chance to achieve their full potential. This is a research-focused course, so you’ll be expected to assess the impact of research in education and social sciences and how it affects educational strategies and policies. You’ll learn to refine your practice based on the critical skills you’ll develop, using evidence from research to analyse different teaching and learning methods. During the course, you’ll learn about:

• Policies, educational practice and innovation within workplace learning
• Different forms of innovation in learning and teaching

On this MMath Mathematics degree, you’ll work with leading researchers who’ll introduce you to pure and applied maths. You’ll be taught through a combination of lectures and workshops, by leading researchers in fields, such as group theory, the mathematics of nature and experimental design.

Learn to apply your engineering knowledge to the oceans, and design cutting-edge ships and other marine craft. We have collaborated with the Royal Navy to develop this 4-year, integrated master's degree. Here you'll develop mechanical engineering skills, then specialise a marine environment. This naval engineering degree will equip you to work as in engineer in the Navy as well as the private sector.

Naval engineering is both a craft and a science. This course covers both aspects and prepares you for a successful career in this specialised field.

This 4-year degree provides the core topics you need to master mechanical engineering. You'll specialise in:

Electrical engineering is about the generation and control of electricity, its distribution for use in homes and industry, and the design of large-scale machinery.

You’ll study technologies of:

• Electrical power engineering, including production, distribution and control

Learn about the materials used in aircraft and spacecraft, why they’re chosen, how they behave and why they sometimes fail. You’ll study the design and manufacture of fast-moving aircraft and spacecraft, then specialise in their materials, structures and analysis. MEng Aeronautics and Astronautics / Materials and Structures prepares you for a career in engineering design or further research.

Aeronautics and Astronautics looks at the science, engineering and manufacture of aircraft and spacecraft. On our aeronautical engineering courses you'll learn how they operate within our atmosphere and in space.

You’ll study the principles of aerospace engineering, then take more advanced modules in materials, construction and testing to learn about aeronautical and manufacturing engineering.

Spend your third year in Spain, studying maths at one of our partner universities. This degree is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in Spanish, while developing your mathematical problem-solving skills. You’ll study pure and applied mathematics, statistics and operational research. You’ll graduate with sought after skills in mathematics as well as experience of working and studying in another language.

This BSc Maths with Spanish degree covers the foundations of algebra, calculus and statistics. You’ll investigate the applications of mathematics in a variety of contexts and use mathematical and statistical models.
