Are you interested in becoming an adept and successful communicator between different nations or cultures? This exciting course draws on cutting-edge academic research by a team of experts in translation, transnational and transcultural studies.

You will develop a rigorous theoretical understanding of translation, with the opportunity to produce your own translations and/or analyse and compare existing translations. The interdisciplinary programme examines translation between English and at least one of Chinese (standard Mandarin), French, German, Italian and Spanish in a cultural context. The research component is significant in this academic degree, which offers integrated research skills training and the possibility to do a final Dissertation on a research topic. If you prefer to get more translation practice, you can also opt for a final Dissertation comprising an original translation from a variety of genres or an analytical commentary.

After graduating, you will be well qualified to seek out work within linguistic and intercultural mediation, in the growing sector of language industry, or to apply for further study or applied research, including our Warwick’s own PhD programme in Translation and Transcultural Studies.

The MSc in Clinical Applications of Psychology is designed for those who plan to apply for admission to doctoral training programmes in Clinical Psychology and can help to strengthen your credentials for the competitive entry process.

The taught components of the course include modules on research methods tailored to clinical applications, evidence-based practice in adult, older adult, and child/adolescent populations, and clinical case analysis.

Teaching provision is shared between academics with research interests in the relevant topics and practising clinicians with current experience in Psychology services within the NHS. The practical component of the course is a six-month research placement in a local NHS trust that maintains a training relationship with our doctoral programme.

Research and write a 40,000-word Dissertation on a topic of your choice under the supervision of one of our internationally-leading experts. Suitable for students who already have considerable research skills and a clear idea of their own particular area of interest for further research.

Before you arrive, you will be matched to one or more of our expert supervisors and during the course. You will meet with them frequently for guidance on the conceptualisation, research and writing of your Dissertation. This will include reading and discussion of draft material.

You will also be expected to participate in the research culture of the School, for example by attending research seminars.

This exciting new course is built on the strength of existing research connections between the four departments that will contribute to it: the departments of Economics, Psychology, and Philosophy, and Warwick Business School (specifically the Behavioural Science Group).

The current attention that this interdisciplinary field of research, particularly the area of Behavioural Science and Behavioural Economics, receives across academia, government and the private sector also makes this course an excellent preparation for a wide range of careers within local government, public health, media, charities and NGOs, marketing and finance.

You will have a choice of interesting potential specialisms and pathways through your course so that you can explore the issues that interest you the most, to graduate with either a BA or a BSc.

Students on all pathways take a course-specific co-taught core capstone module in the final year, which is designed to set the disciplines in interdisciplinary dialogue with each other.

Deepen your understanding of why and how governing institutions and big businesses make decisions, how the consequences of these actions influence our world and impact on our futures, and what would make for a better and more just society.

After building solid foundations in each of the three subjects in your first year, you then have the flexibility to tailor your module choices to suit your own interests. This allows you to graduate with either a BA or a BSc.

Providing comprehensive training in essential elements of modern communication and information engineering, this degree delivers information-theoretic underpinnings alongside physical-layer aspects of optical and radio transmission. You will also explore developments in radio network architectures and deployment and have opportunities to study communications technologies, data analytics and data mining, in terms of algorithms and goals in real-world problems.

Typically, when students choose to study abroad, they apply in their second year for the third year of study at a partner institution. Students then return to Warwick for their final year.

This course is about designing and managing the most efficient means of production, in order to make the best products. Designed for engineering graduates interested in manufacturing systems and operations management, MSEM is suitable for engineers already working in industry who want to make the transition to engineering manager. It is also ideal for recent graduates looking to fast-track their career in order to take a leading role within the manufacturing sector. 

This course combines value creation with strategic development in a manufacturing environment, providing you with the latest manufacturing techniques and processes. We work at the forefront of emerging technologies, and through collaborative Research and Development with industry partners, we drive the transfer of knowledge into new areas.
