Our partnership with WBS (Warwick Business School) provides you with a flexible combination of computer science and business, making you attractive to employers who value technical skills and commercial awareness in their graduates.
You will develop the background and skills to develop a deeper understanding of computer science, including areas such as operating systems and computer networks, computational theory and software engineering.
In your third year you will attend Warwick Business School, where world-leading academics and industry professionals will teach you about business and management practices. You may, for example, take modules covering marketing and strategy, finance and entrepreneurship.
Study abroad
You can spend a year at one of our partner institutions overseas. We have an established exchange programme with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, which provides opportunities for our students to experience teaching and learning at another world-leading institution.

Specifically designed for students who wish to pursue an academic research career, the course offers first-hand research experience through placements in different laboratories, working on thematically related research. This lab rotation offers strong candidates for doctoral research more scope to explore different topics within their areas of interest than the traditional options at Master’s level.
Two placements taken during the course allow you to contribute directly to your chosen supervisors’ research. By studying linguistics together with Italian, you will explore the fascinating human capacity for language, while also building your fluency in Italian. As a linguist, you will learn about the structure and function of language, and about relationships between language and society.
You will also study and practice written and oral communication in Italian, and learn broadly about communicating across languages and cultures. The taught MA courses provide an overview of the scope of the visual and material culture of the ancient world, the ways in which it might be studied, and the questions that can be asked of it.
The core module gives you an awareness of historiography and methodological issues affecting the study of the material culture of the ancient world as well as inviting you to consider the ways in which its study can contribute to our picture of antiquity.
Optional modules allow you to develop your interests in particular aspects of the subject (art, epigraphy, numismatics, or an approved external option) in more depth, while a core language component provides the linguistic skills necessary to conduct further research.
This MA provides a thorough preparation in research techniques if you are considering further research in the fields of art, numismatics or epigraphy, or are working on an historical topic that involves the consideration of material evidence. Germany has always been at the heart of European intellectual and cultural traditions, not least the birth of early cinema. This creates a natural synergy between these two subject areas.
German Studies at Warwick provides the opportunity to explore the extraordinary breadth and depth of the German language and culture in collaboration with recognised experts in the field.
Combining German with film means you will graduate as a highly qualified linguist with a deep understanding of key issues and developments in Germany’s past and present. You will gain advanced intercultural skills and excellent knowledge of visual aesthetics, cinematic culture, and narrative forms.
You will normally spend your second or third year abroad, consolidating and enhancing your learning.

Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering
The MSc in Biomedical Engineering delivers advanced modules informed by the active research expertise and industrial links of our academic staff.
The course prepares students for careers in advanced biomedical engineering. This includes biomedical engineering research institutions, medical device manufacturing, agencies for health technology assessment and medical device regulatory affairs, and clearly hospitals, where biomedical engineers oversee medical device clinical trials, purchasing and maintenance as responsible for clinical engineering services.
The Warwick Biomedical Engineering MSc spans the whole School of Engineering incorporating predictive modelling, medical device design, health technology assessment, signal processing, electronics, communication, software, hardware, systems thinking and machine intelligence.
Warwick has a unique systems approach to research and teaching and so modules are developed across disciplines in parallel to our research. This approach culminates in a group design project in which you will design a medical device. This, in the past two years included, a defibrillator, a pulmonary ventilator, an ECGph and wearable devices for SpO2 monitoring. Beyond that, you will be assigned an in-depth individual project which will allow you to work closely with an academic on state-of-the art biomedical engineering research and innovation, often linked with industry.
