Our BSc Management with Placement Year course will equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to operate effectively in roles within international brands, multinational companies, global financial markets and new business ventures. You will undertake a work placement during your third year, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in a real work setting before returning to Warwick for your final year of studies. Alternatively, you can apply to study with a partner institution instead of working.

As well as enhancing your career potential, the course will enable you to develop as a critically reflective thinker, able to analyse and interpret business-related problems and to devise creative and enterprising solutions that straddle multi-disciplinary boundaries. You’ll benefit from studying with students from a range of different countries, in a mutually-supportive, collaborative learning environment.

As the course progresses, you can choose modules to tailor your experience to meet your interests, development needs and career aspirations. This means you can follow a generalist route in business and management to keep your career options open or you can choose to study one of our recognised pathways to build your knowledge within a particular subject area. Today, economic growth and business expansion must answer to critical concerns about environmental sustainability, biodiversity loss, and human exploitation. You’ll grapple with these debates, and reconcile them with your Business Studies modules.

Throughout your degree, we will challenge you to consider current problems of sustainability from many perspectives, understand their complexity and use a variety of approaches to think creatively about potential solutions.

The holistic approach taken with GSD will complement and challenge your studies with Warwick Business School (WBS), which has a worldwide reputation for its expertise in Business and Management.

This MSc offers you the opportunity to study key business areas, whilst specialising in the field of marketing. Modules taught by our expert lecturers will give you a grounding in the foundational areas of business, as well as offering you the chance to gain specific insight through marketing modules of your choosing.

There is a choice of Dissertation or Business in Practice route. If you are considering further academic study (PhD) and you would like the opportunity to research a topic relating to marketing, the dissertation enables you to test and apply the techniques and theories you have gained.

If you would like to develop further applied skills and specialist knowledge to suit your career aspirations, you can complete your studies with one additional elective module and our applied Business in Practice module.

This exciting new course is built on the strength of existing research connections between the four departments that will contribute to it: the departments of Economics, Psychology, and Philosophy, and Warwick Business School (specifically the Behavioural Science Group).

The current attention that this interdisciplinary field of research, particularly the area of Behavioural Science and Behavioural Economics, receives across academia, government and the private sector also makes this course an excellent preparation for a wide range of careers within local government, public health, media, charities and NGOs, marketing and finance.

You will have a choice of interesting potential specialisms and pathways through your course so that you can explore the issues that interest you the most, to graduate with either a BA or a BSc.

Students on all pathways take a course-specific co-taught core capstone module in the final year, which is designed to set the disciplines in interdisciplinary dialogue with each other.

Study abroad

You have the opportunity to apply for an intercalated study abroad year at one of our many partner institutions, extending your degree to four years.

As well as offering an opportunity to experience an alternative university system, studying abroad can also provide the chance to improve language skills and to gain an understanding of a country that can only be gained by living and working in it.

The MSc in Polymer Science is designed to not only introduce you into polymer synthesis and characterisation, but also demonstrate that macro-scale properties span into the nano- and meso- scale.

On this MSc course, you will have flexibility to choose from elective modules including business related modules from the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG). These modules will improve your knowledge in business whilst becoming an expert in polymer science. The course is ideal if you are looking for a career, not only in a manufacturing company working in the area of plastics, advanced functional materials, nano-materials, but also a PhD level study in this growing and exciting area of science.

On this course you will undertake in-depth comparative and contextual study of the regulation of a company. You will look at the various ways in which different jurisdictions respond to similar economic and social pressures, examining key topics in the post financial crisis era. You will develop an understanding of the interaction between the process of globalisation and general principles and theories of corporate governance and financial regulation.

The course allows you to study the main topics in corporate governance and financial law and regulation, including compliance dimensions but you will also learn to appreciate the economic and social context in which commercial decisions are made and corporate governance and financial regulation operate with reference to historical developments.

The MSc in Clinical Applications of Psychology is designed for those who plan to apply for admission to doctoral training programmes in Clinical Psychology and can help to strengthen your credentials for the competitive entry process.

The taught components of the course include modules on research methods tailored to clinical applications, evidence-based practice in adult, older adult, and child/adolescent populations, and clinical case analysis.

Teaching provision is shared between academics with research interests in the relevant topics and practising clinicians with current experience in Psychology services within the NHS. The practical component of the course is a six-month research placement in a local NHS trust that maintains a training relationship with our doctoral programme.

We provide opportunities to learn from world-leading researchers at the School of Engineering and WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) in areas such as precision mechanics, fluid dynamics and sustainable thermal energy technology, as well as complementary areas in other fields of engineering.

By choosing the MEng degree you can explore specialist areas of Mechanical Engineering through fourth-year module choices and a group project.

Economics is at the core of Global Sustainable Development (GSD). On this degree you will critically analyse economic models and theories of sustainable development through quantitative and qualitative approaches. Economics modules will provide you with an essential background in micro and macro economics, as well as methodologies for statistical analysis.

Your studies in GSD will empower you to consider the human and environmental implications of development. You will consider challenging questions on climate change, biodiversity, gender equality, and other core components of sustainability.
