Combine the study of German and Italian with investigations into the nature of language itself. Spend a year abroad studying, working or teaching in Italy and German-speaking countries, consolidating your language skills.

You'll be taught in German and Italian, so you'll become confident using your languages as a means of communication, and for critical thinking. Our Masters in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management will give you practical experience with up-to-date conservation techniques, and an opportunity to work with leading conservation studios, providing you with invaluable work experience, and networks for your future career.

You'll train for a variety of employment in stained glass conservation, cultural heritage management, arts administration, museums, and the administration of historic buildings. You'll combine practical work with intensive seminar study to investigate the key issues in approaches to conservation and heritage. The course will also prepare you for a higher research degree.

Nanotechnology encompasses the design and study of devices on a scale of less than 100nm - barely a few hundred atoms across. From ultra-high-speed processors to super accurate sensors, nano-scale devices are transforming science and technology across a broad spectrum of fields, including microelectronics, data storage, medicine and the environment.

Drawing on the expertise of nanotechnology research groups at York, this course emphasises those areas of nanotechnology directly relevant to contemporary electronics. It forms part of a broad and strong core programme in electronics and provides ‘hands-on’ opportunities to build and characterise nanoscale devices.
