This course will enable you to function with confidence in the challenging world of electronics, as a designer, in research or as a manager. You'll start with fundamental principles of electronic engineering, and learn more advanced concepts, later choosing from a range of specialist option modules.

Our courses are very flexible, and offer you the opportunity to either become a specialist or generalist by choosing your own route through your degree. You'll be fully supported at all times by staff who are enthusiastic about their subjects and willing to help you.

Combine the study of German with investigations into the nature of language itself. You'll be taught the language component of the course in German, so you'll become confident using German as a means of communication, and for critical thinking. You'll gain an understanding of German culture and society which will underpin your abilities as a high-level communicator.

Your communication skills will be complemented by studying linguistics. This will enable you to understand and interpret language, and to learn the science behind how we communicate. You’ll engage with the study of language on a conceptual level as well as the detailed level of linguistic data. This course will equip you with the skills to analyse social policy in a way that enables you to understand how policies are developed and the role they play in people's lives.

The course offers a combination of taught coursework and supervised independent study. You'll develop the skills required to carry out your own research in an area of social policy that interests you.

Apply the study of philosophy to theology and engage with some of the most complex and historically significant questions that have shaped Western and Middle Eastern civilisation.

Move from studying philosophical and theological problems to investigating them as a researcher in your own right. Focus on Philosophy and the study of Jewish, Christian, and Islamic analytic theology in conversation with each other, informed by analysis of the spiritual practices that these faiths incorporate.

Our department has a strong research profile in analytic theology and we'll provide support for you to pursue your own research project.

On this course, you’ll explore these topics in greater depth and from different perspectives. The course draws on our internationally-recognised teaching and research strengths in analytical political philosophy, intellectual history and critical theory.

You'll be encouraged to attend regular research seminars, where the best current work in political theory is presented by staff and eminent guest speakers from all over the world.
