The Master’s degree in Interaction Design and Interactive Art is a unique interdisciplinary program at the intersection of interaction design and interactive content development. The program emphasizes the creative and technical aspects of current and emerging technology and its use in creating, controlling, delivering, and presenting compelling content in an interactive form. This degree draws upon elements from many fields, including visual and interaction design, UX/UI, Fine Art, Computer Science, Education, Psychology, Journalism, and Telecommunications.
Our program embraces industry skills and practices by emphasizing teamwork and a project-based, hands-on approach in the creation of interactive applications and objects as part of designed user experience. Ideas for projects originate from students, faculty, or external sources.
Students in the Interaction Design and Interactive Art, M.A. Program, enjoy many benefits including small student-teacher ratios and dedicated interdisciplinary faculty. Thesis project students have 24-hour access to a dedicated production studio, maker space, and secure workspaces equipped and maintained with the current technology and support staff.

Bachelor of Arts in Spanish
The program offers students the ability to learn speaking, writing, and analytical skills in Spanish and has been designed to provide students with the cultural understanding and the academic knowledge necessary for future pursuits in various careers, especially in teaching Spanish and Spanish American literature and culture at multiple educational levels.
Recently CSUEB was declared a Hispanic Serving Institution due to the demographic impact of the Latino/Hispanic population in California, particularly in the East Bay area. With the growing involvement of the United States in international business and the increasingly multicultural character of American society itself within the exponential growth of its Latino, Hispanic population, the importance of Spanish in nearly every kind of occupation is considerable. A major in Spanish, therefore, may lead to teaching careers and represent direct, practical assets in other fields such as business, industry and commerce, civil service, law, library science, media, science, health services, social work, travel, and tourism.
