It truly is a global economy. And perhaps there’s a place for you somewhere in the mix. This program centers on international finance and global economics, offering you the global focus that today’s leaders need to effectively manage international business operations.

You’ll find evidence of our global economy in the stuff you use every day – the stuff that adds quality to your life: your phone, your computer, your car, even the clothes on your back. The truth is, much of it was built in a foreign country and imported before it went up for sale here at home. A bachelor’s in international business will help you understand the complexity of international business operations. The program combines liberal arts and general business courses with foreign language and communication studies, and a semester abroad to set you on the path to become a qualified manager with an international perspective. You’ll learn how business is conducted both in and between different nations, while studying the effects financial systems, government policies, and cultural differences have on the global economy. You’ll understand how different IT tools help people communicate, manage data, and solve problems. You’ll dip into marketing, risk management, and insurance. And you’ll gain valuable insight in how to manage complexity in an international environment.

Throughout history, mathematics has played an essential role in leading humanity to new discoveries and technological advances. In fact, some of the most important achievements of our time would not have been possible without the field of mathematics. The question you have to ask yourself is, how many of your future students will go on to make the next major contributions to the field of mathematics? A degree in secondary education with a math focus will prepare you to teach the skills your students will need to make an impact – even if it falls short of changing the world as we know it. At the very least they’ll learn how math impacts their daily lives.

In our program, you’ll find satisfaction in discovering the best way to get your students to the right answer, all while enjoying the challenge of complicated problems. Throughout the program, you’ll learn how to use computers and computer systems in the classroom to enhance problem solving. You’ll explore the relationship between a Christian worldview and a technological science. Every step of the way, you’ll have experienced professors guiding you. And even though numbers may be your thing, you’re certainly not a number at Concordia – you’re a student who’ll get to know your professors and receive meaningful mentorship, providing a workable model for the future relationships you’ll form with your students.

The bachelor’s degree in interior architecture and design is a cooperative program with MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). To quote MIAD’s program description, “Our interior architecture and design program is built on the premise that spaces and their furnishings can affect people in deep, meaningful ways.” In this program, you’ll get to experience the Christian liberal arts perspective of Concordia while pursuing a rigorous design program at MIAD. You’ll combine theory and practice to solve visual and spatial problems in the classroom and with real-world clients.

During your time here, you’ll take the majority of your classes (including the Liberal Arts Core, the majority of your major, and your minor) right on the CUW campus. You’ll go to MIAD for the remaining 24 credits (six credits per semester over the course of two years). Many graduates have also paired this major with a complementary minor in business, entrepreneurship, or art to further their abilities and career endeavors.
When you graduate with a degree in interior architecture and design, you’ll have a deep understanding of color and media dynamics, 3-D modeling, and computer-aided design (CAD) drawing. You’ll have as strong foundation in the liberal arts (including history, english, communication, and the social sciences) with hands-on experience working with clients. You’ll even complete a senior portfolio to show the work you’ve done during your time here. Whether you go on to work as an interior designer, a facility planner or a model builder, you’ll have the foundation and skillset you need to build a future in interior architecture and design.

Possibly the only thing greater than unlocking your own creativity through music, is helping someone else unlock theirs. That’s precisely what you’ll do with a focus in music education: help your students learn to express their unique individuality, while providing them with a strong sense of how the shared experience of music brings us all together.
As a music education student, you’ll study music theory, composition, conducting, music history, and forms of the medieval, baroque, pre-classical, romantic, and 20th century periods from around the globe. With such a thorough background, you’ll gain the skills and to share this knowledge with your own students.

Learn the ins and outs of all the instruments in an ensemble by becoming a teacher for K-12 band or orchestra. The K-12 Choral Education curriculum teaches many levels of music theory and music history, conducting, and techniques for teaching brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings. In addition to learning in the classroom, stay active in your instrumental skills by participating in an ensemble of your choice each semester.

You’ll be taking 25 credits of required coursework to give you a firm basis in drawing, color, design, art history, and aesthetics (the stuff that everyone who is serious about art needs to be aware of). But after that, you get to choose what aspects of art to focus on. We’ve got plenty of options to pick from and you’ve got 15 credits worth of courses to fill with whatever 2D or 3D electives inspire you!

By the time you finish this program you’ll have refined your artistic skills creating original designs, manipulating imagery, and applying design principles to visual communication. As you develop your unique artistic style, you will have a clearer understanding of how your artistic talents make a difference in the world. You will have an opportunity to showcase your work with an exhibit in the CUW Art Gallery and to assemble a professional portfolio highlighting the best of your work.

The art education program is designed to provide you with a challenging course of study that will focus on art to enhance your intellectual development, personal growth, and career satisfaction. You will develop your own abilities as an artist and then learn how to help others create and appreciate art. This means, you’ll benefit from a well-rounded overview of the history, purpose, and technical methods of art.

If you don’t have a teaching license, don’t worry. You do not need to have one in order to participate in this program. If you are interested in working with children, their families, and at-risk youth then this program will provide valuable education for you. However, if you have (or are pursuing) your teaching license, then upon completion of the program, you’ll have the option to seek an additional license in art (#1952).

As an educator, you will learn to better understand the role of artistic activity in the human condition, possess an advanced knowledge of art curricula and pedagogy, demonstrate a high level of competence with visual arts media, and be aware of past and current practices in the the field. Our priority is to provide you with the theories that then inform your educational practices. For example, you’ll study how to use works of art, museum visits, and technology to enhance your students’ education.

A marketing career is something you should pursue! This program feeds both sides of your brain to give you the technical and creative skills you need as you launch your career.
When you earn your bachelor of marketing degree from Concordia University, you’ll be able to market yourself to your future company. This program covers a lot of ground, from consumer audiences and their needs to product design, packaging, pricing, advertising, selling, distribution, brand identification, and promotion. You’ll study public relations – how it's used to promote and manage public perception – as well as basic advertising campaign strategies like copy, visualization, and layout. You’ll learn the difference between business-to-business and business-to-consumer operations. The program also covers the digital landscape, teaching the ins and outs of web design and maintenance, and the impact of E-commerce on marketing. You’ll learn marketing research methods and measurements, dip your toes into international marketing, and gain insights on how to ethically engage and interact conscientiously with the public.

After you graduate, you’ll enter the workforce ready with both the technical and creative skills every marketing professional needs to know to succeed. You will know how to create and implement effective marketing campaigns by providing a foundation in the brand identification and promotion, E-commerce, web page design and maintenance, and research methods. On top of all of this, it is also probably nice to know that marketing graduates have one of the highest job placement rates in the business world.

In this program, you will study anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection, and basic patient care. As is fairly evident from the above sentence, we take both patient and medical personnel safety very seriously. You’ll grow confident in your abilities as you learn from some of the best faculty and professionals in the field.

This CUW bachelor degree is a Two plus Two program, in which you spend the first two years on Concordia’s campus taking prerequisite classes prior to entry into the Radiologic Technology (RT) program. You’ll then apply for the next phase that consists of didactic courses and clinical experience with our partner clinical affiliations. It is worth noting that this is a competitive program, so acceptance is not guaranteed. To improve your chances, we’d like to encourage you to demonstrate exemplary grades, prior health care experience, and job shadow hours.

Because the pre-professional curriculum requires about 67 credits (17 credits per semester if taken in 4 semesters), we highly recommend using winterim and summer breaks to fulfill course requirements. Once you are accepted, the more advanced work begins. At first, you are going to spend most of your time in the classroom and scan laboratory, with less time in clinicals. This is to provide you with the theories and principles to ground you before applying them in a real-world environment. Gradually, your classroom time will be reduced as your clinical component increases. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at one of our partner clinics including Aurora, Wheaton Franciscan, and Froedtert Health systems.
With this degree, you will be a key part of the health care field by safely creating images needed to check for bone fractures, blocked blood vessels, abnormal growths in breast tissue, brain tumors, and so much more. Upon graduation, you will be ready to find a rewarding career in a variety of settings. Alumni have gone on to work in hospitals, physician's’ offices, medical and diagnostic labs, do research, administration, education, and so much more!

It’s important for kids to stay healthy, and in order to do that they need to move and have a better understanding of their health. With a degree in K-12 physical education, you will teach students the importance of exercise and health education in order to set them up for a healthy lifestyle.

To become a physical education teacher, there is a variety of coursework involved. You will have a better understanding of the human body with exercise physiology, motor development, anatomy, and physiology. You’ll also learn the ins and out of health education with personal, family, and community health. To get to this point, you’ll gain clinical experience and feel prepared to support learners with adaptive physical education needs. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a Physical Education, Health, Athletic Coaching, and Adaptive Physical Education license.

One of the most important skills you can bring to any business is the ability to be a leader who understands the industry, knows how to build up a team, and creatively problem-solves when challenges arise. Our MBA in Management will equip you to do just that. The program is designed with flexibility in mind so you can complete the program while working full-time. Because our classes are offered at our main campus, our off-site locations and online, you can take courses no matter where you’re located on the map. You’ll broaden your perspective as you learn from industry leaders and work alongside a diverse student body. And you’ll have freedom to choose which courses you want to take for your concentration. When you cross the stage as a graduate of our MBA program, you’ll have in-depth knowledge of management practices, lean systems and analysis, loss prevention and project management processes.
