The Biblical Studies program lays out a good foundation for further work not only in the LCMS but for all Christian denominations. This program offers classes that all Christian students can be prepared for church work or simply because they want to know more about the Bible and the God who is revealed in it. At the same time, this is a great program for Lutheran students who want to focus on the Bible itself.

With this program, students will explain and analyze the basic tenets of the Christian faith and will apply the Christian worldview and doctrines to current situations (personal, professional, and societal) and to historical problems and situations.

Biblical Studies graduates can expect to:

• Develop an understanding of the origin of the Bible, recognize the unique qualities of God's word, appreciate the varied yet unified content of the Old and New Testaments, and use sound principles in interpreting Scripture.
• Recognize the Bible as the authoritative source for knowledge of God and humankind, articulate key doctrines of the Christian faith, especially the gospel of Jesus Christ, and apply the teachings of Scripture to the life of the individual.
• Develop an appreciation for how God has worked in history, recognize key figures and movements in the life of the Church, and identify the state of theology today.

As a graduate of the mathematics program, you’ll have a deep comprehension of (and appreciation for) areas like calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, geometry, abstract algebra and real analysis. You’ll be able to solve and understand differential equations, sequences and series, vector-valued functions, partial derivatives, functions and algorithms. And you won’t be graduating with only math skills. This program explores the economic problems faced by individuals, business, and nations by offering courses in the historical, practical, theoretical, and empirical aspects of economics. You will graduate with a firm understanding of the basis of the discipline and be prepared to position yourself and your organization to survive and thrive in any environment. You’ll be qualified to seek employment in the private, public, or nonprofit sector or to seek advanced degrees and graduate study.

You might expect to master the models and competing theoretical frameworks that shape economics in a program like this one – and you’d be right on the money. You’ll also study the factors that drive human behavior in the marketplace and the principles and theories of macro and micro-economics. Concordia’s MBA in Management Information Systems will provide you with in-depth knowledge of database modeling, design and implementation. You’ll gain experience in implementing a database design by creating a physical database using the Oracle Application Express tool and SQL - and you’ll have the ability to sit for the Oracle Database SQL Expert exam. You’ll also learn from experienced professors who will help you understand decision support systems (DSS) on topics like data mining, data warehousing architectures, expert systems, artificial intelligence systems and executive information systems.

You’ll learn how to identify certain needs that present themselves in today’s culture, the Church, and the world, then how to respond to those needs in a way that aligns with your Christian values. You’ll learn how to be a servant leader in all your endeavors, and how to build a culture of life, addressing the world’s social and ethical problems.  

Before you take the plunge and dive headfirst into your own upstart, you’ll toe the water with the courses in this program. An important first step for any entrepreneur is to develop and grow a network of individuals, organizations, and professionals. You’ll do that as part of this major. You’ll also develop – and be expected to display – knowledge and skills related to innovation, creativity, problem-solving, perseverance, and adaptability. You’ll ideate and identify emerging markets, trends, problems, and challenges, while learning how to articulate a vision for and commitment to ethical business practice in the education sector.

Technology is a huge benefit to entrepreneurs these days – you can expect to demonstrate competence in leveraging technology in market research and identification. Same goes for adaptability and “pivot-ability.” (You’ll also learn that the world of business is filled with words like pivot-ability.) This program will help you develop a business model, prototype an idea for a business or service, create and develop a business plan, and start or participate in starting a company/new business venture. Why a Bachelor's Degree in Theological Studies? This program gives you options. If you simply want to study God’s Word for the sake of your personal growth, you’ll receive a solid foundation in doctrine. However, there is much more you will benefit from with a theology degree.

God reveals himself through his Word and, to a lesser degree, through his world. This program examines the Bible, God’s revealed Word, in broad introductory overviews of the Holy Scriptures (isagogics) as well as in close reading of a particular biblical book (exegetical studies). This program also studies God’s providence in history. In addition, students receive practical training in the application of their studies in ministry to others.

Through participation in, and upon completion of, the Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies at Concordia University Wisconsin, students will:

The MPD Pharmaceutical program will provide the additional education and hands-on training that science majors need to secure jobs in the pharmaceutical product development industries; accordingly classes are taught in an applied manner.

Science aims to understand the incredible intricacies of God's creation. It all starts with a question, which leads to research, forming a hypothesis, testing the hypothesis, and analyzing and communicating the results, which often leads to new questions. This scientific inquiry is what leads to theories and laws that observe and describe the world around us.

In this program, you'll study everything that exists in the earth's environment, from the plants and animals to ecosystems and climate patterns, and how they all correlate. Two concentrations are available; ecology and environmental chemistry. Both tracks take a deep dive into a wide variety of scientific disciplines, with each specialization putting an extra emphasis on ecology or environmental chemistry respectively.

The environmental science major explores the physical, chemical, and biological properties and processes of our world. The program seeks to help students grow in the following six areas:

• Knowledge base: demonstrate an understanding of and an ability to explain major biological and related scientific concepts.
• Laboratory procedures: demonstrate the ability to appropriately collect and analyze data while utilizing laboratory equipment and procedures safely and effectively
• Scientific inquiry: develop investigative and critical thinking skills to explore complex questions and solve challenging scientific problems
• Scientific communication: demonstrate the ability to communicate scientific information effectively to both scientists and non-scientists using oral and written forms of expression
• Vocation and ethics: recognize how vocations in science provide opportunities for service to Christ and others and necessitate ethical behavior in all aspects of science
• God’s design and stewardship: demonstrate an understanding of how/why a Christian sees evidence of God’s design in nature and how to be good stewards of His creation

This program will allow you to explore how businesses are structured and provide you with the skills you’ll need to succeed in almost any environment. You’ll gain mastery of current software for designing and managing business projects, while adopting proven project management tools and techniques at each stage in a project’s lifecycle.
