Once you have your MBA in Accounting, you can pick your industry of choice based on what interests you the most. The important thing is that you’ll be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This program is designed to provide you with the skills necessary to sit for the national CPA exam. Among other business foundations, you’ll learn essential skills like advanced auditing, global production and operations, as well as systems management and design. And you’ll receive direct, one-on-one instruction from current professionals eager to give you the most practical experience you could ask for - so you’ll be prepared for the corporate world.

As a graduate of the program, you’ll not only have greater expertise in accounting, but you’ll also come out as a better leader with the skills to make strategic decisions. You’ll know how to manage fraud, be confident in handling advanced accounting issues, communicate clearly, and lead diverse groups of people. Through a blend of the social sciences, history, and humanities, you’ll learn to guide your students through a myriad of thinking types and social structures, and be able to adapt such lessons to grade levels ranging from grade 4 to grade 12. You’ll gain a stronger sense of contemporary and past viewpoints and be able to share insights with your class that reveal how people relate to the world around them. You’ll participate in and learn how to lead discussions on civic issues and organize around solutions. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll understand how to help your students discover how people relate to each other, how we interact as groups, and how we organize our thoughts, religions, and governments. With a foundation in social studies, you’ll be able to help your students better understand their place in the world.

CUW has teamed up with Milwaukee Area Technical College to provide this bachelor degree program. What does this mean for you? First and foremost, you’ll receive state-of-the-art training in environmental health and water quality from experts at MATC coupled with the top-notch liberal arts program and large selection of minors offered at CUW.

Moreover, you can choose whichever route best fits your goals and needs while you obtain your degree—whether you enroll at CUW for a traditional four-year experience and commute the 3+ miles to MATC, or you divide your education into two distinct periods by completing MATC’s two-year, associate-level program prior to enrolling at CUW. Either choice will equip you with the skills you’ll need to make an impact; it’s up to you to decide which one best suits you.
Our environmental health and water quality technology program will teach you how to identify, monitor, and evaluate environmental health hazards. You’ll learn to promote environmental protection, improvement, and sustainability. Furthermore, you’ll be ready to apply relevant guidelines and regulations, control and handle hazardous materials, and perform water and wastewater analysis. The environmental health and water Quality technology program provides a solid foundation for a range of career opportunities that include the application of regulations and procedures to identify, evaluate, and control hazards.

We live in a data-age, and the demand for professionals with business analytics skills is growing. Most companies are generating, collecting, and storing information that is used to drive up the value of their business. This fast-growing career path has applications in every industry and companies of all sizes.

The MPD Pharmaceutical program will provide the additional education and hands-on training that science majors need to secure jobs in the pharmaceutical product development industries; accordingly classes are taught in an applied manner.

You’ll apprentice with industry partners and learn in state-of-the-art analytical and pilot-scale labs (like the new hybrid classroom/cGMP lab on the Innovation Campus). In addition, you’ll be able to take advantage of networking and collaboration opportunities provided by the Interprofessional Education (IPE) program.

During your time at CUW, you’ll have the opportunity to study ecology, explore the outdoors, and learn how humans affect the natural world. The environmental studies program combines coursework in biological, physical, and earth sciences as well with environmental law and ethics. A variety of elective courses such as ornithology, astronomy, meteorology, and environmental policy is available. Many courses in this major will be taken at the Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship, which is a state-of-the-art learning and research facility on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan committed to the practice of Christian environmental stewardship. Plus, you’ll have the benefit of professors who approach this discipline from a Christian perspective and who understand the responsibility we all have balance our care for humankind with our care for the environment and the rest of creation.

As an environmental studies major, you’ll develop a strong scientific foundation by studying a variety of topics in natural science including biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics. You’ll also develop a strong foundation in the liberal arts by taking courses related to your major such as environmental law, environmental ethics, or environmental policy. One of the most exciting opportunities awaiting you is to study tropical ecology and then travel to the Caribbean to see these amazing ecosystems firsthand. In addition to your major, you will be required to complete the CUW liberal arts core and a minor, and you can choose from a variety of elective courses and complementary minors. Completing a minor in fields such as art, business, justice and public policy, or chemistry can allow you to specialize in the area that best fits your personal career goals.

Computer scientists are instrumental to anything and everything that involves computers. And let’s be honest, pretty much everything today involves computers. Robotics, virtual reality, and videogames are often cited as future job areas, but you could also be a part of many other fields—animation, music, automobiles, analytics…the list goes on.

What comes to mind when you think of computer science? In our modern world, there are decreasingly fewer things that don't rely on computers and technology in some shape or form, making computer science one of the most practical and versatile fields of study out there. At Concordia, we define computer science as solving problems using technology. If you can learn to create and manage technology solutions, you can apply your skills to just about any career path.

With five different concentrations available and substantial flexibility in electives, you have the power to customize this degree and make it your own. In this program, you'll receive a well-rounded education through the Concordia Core, as well as a firm foundation of computer science knowledge through our Technology Core. You'll learn the ins and outs of hardware, software, operating systems, databases, coding, and user interfaces. From there, you can branch out into one or more concentrations of computer science, specializing in the areas that are of most interest to you. You can use your electives to earn multiple concentrations, or to explore coursework in any other field at Concordia, broadening your knowledge base.

Through the master's degree in church music, you’ll be encouraged to strengthen your theological knowledge and grow as a church musician so that you can better guide and enhance others’ worship. Our graduate program is designed to be completed exclusively in summer sessions, or in combination with evening sessions. This allows us to meet your needs outside of the traditional academic year, while still providing the beneficial personal interaction with the faculty. You’ll be able to choose from two areas of emphasis: organ and choral. And even though our courses are taught from a distinctly Lutheran perspective, all denominations are always welcome.

Through this master’s program, you’ll not only perfect your musical abilities, you’ll deepen your understanding of how music ought to relate to theology, specifically in a worship setting. With the combination of these two areas of expertise, you’ll grow in your ability to shape meaningful worship experiences for parishioners. What will your course work look like? Some courses will focus on areas like music theory, arranging, and composing. Others will prepare you for leadership roles in conducting and directing choirs or instrumental groups. Towards the end of your education, you’ll be asked to demonstrate a knowledge of liturgical music practices, musical forms, and the history of music in the church.

This degree will prepare you to go out into the world and serve Christ through serving our neighbors. Often we are called to do this in a language other than English. As a graduate with a Spanish degree, you will be proficient in the language and be able to open more doors both in the employment sense, but perhaps more importantly in a Christian sense. You will be prepared to live a life of service to those in our community who speak Spanish as well as English.
As our population continues to get more diverse, an opportunity also continues to rise. Employers are reporting an urgent need for graduating students to be proficient in Spanish.  The United States Census Bureau reports that the Hispanic population will continue to be largest ethnic minority in the United States. By 2060, Hispanics will make up 28.6% of the U.S. population. As the Hispanic demographic continues to increase, our students who are proficient in the language will have an advantage in nearly every possible area of study and in life.

You will be able to explore all areas of the Spanish language through a variety of activities and experiences during your time in the program. Our small class sizes guarantee personal attention. We offer a variety of ways to use your language skills both on- and off-campus. We offer interdisciplinary volunteer events, Spanish Table, and Spanish Club on-campus. Other volunteer work and internships off-campus offer hands-on experiences in the surrounding Milwaukee community, the U.S. and also abroad. Through these experiences you’ll gain real-world confidence, skills, and experience in language use.

Many of our graduates have gone on in professions such as teaching, health care, mission work, international business, journalism, social services and much more.

In order to meet the diverse needs of congregations, you will gain a wide range of skills through completion of a theology major and two minors. Your first minor, Church Ministries, includes a specialization chosen from six areas of church ministry. These include: Evangelism, Missions, Parish Teaching, Youth Ministry, Christian Service Learning & Leadership, and Social Ministry (for men) or Pre-Deaconess (for women intending to enroll in the deaconess programs at either of the LCMS seminaries). Your second minor is Nonprofit Management. For those of you who really want to specialize in more than one area of church ministry, it’s possible to do so by carefully choosing electives that apply.

While all courses and doctrine are taught in accord with the Lutheran confessions, men and women of any denomination are welcome to join this program. Only members of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod will be certified and may be eligible to be rostered with the LCMS as a “Minister of Religion Commissioned—Director of Church Ministries (DCM).”
