At the very least they’ll learn how math impacts their daily lives.

Throughout the program, you’ll learn how to use computers and computer systems in the classroom to enhance problem solving. You’ll explore the relationship between a Christian worldview and a technological science. Every step of the way, you’ll have experienced professors guiding you. That’s your role as a healthcare administrator. To help uphold the dignity of each of your patients. It will also teach you how to be an effective healthcare administrator, how to evaluate research results applicable to a healthcare practice, and how to demonstrate effective communication – in writing and presentations.

It all starts with your ability to recognize every individual as a holistic being created by God – someone whose dignity, worth, and rights deserve to be respected and upheld.

This program will help you grow adept at analyzing different healthcare systems. You’ll grow an ability to synthesize knowledge from the sciences, humanities, and management theories as a basis for problem-solving and decision-making. You will be expected to display a willingness to work cohesively and communicate with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare network.

This program will equip you with the ability to evaluate research results that are applicable to your healthcare practice, and teach you how to create a reflective self plan for personal and professional growth. Music therapy is the process of using music to aid changes in behavior and brain function in order to promote health and wellness. Our music therapy program is an equivalency program offered by CUW through Alverno College. What does that mean? You’ll benefit from a well-rounded Bachelor of Arts in Music degree through CUW, while earning a Music Therapy Equivalency Degree at Alverno College. This allows you to focus on the specific courses required to become a board certified music therapist. You will follow our liberal arts music curriculum and graduate from CUW with a music therapy concentration.

A key element of your studies is learning how to work within a multidisciplinary team in medical and psychiatric hospitals, hospice, schools, and clinics. A day in your future life could involve helping Alzheimer’s patients retain memories, Parkinson’s patients improve mobilities, infants reduce their stay in the neonatal ICU, and people suffering from depression deal with their symptoms.

Because of our partnership with Alverno College, you’ll be assisted in securing a top internship position to gain hands-on experience and build up your resume for the future. As a CUW student, you will be exposed to and have opportunities to participate in a wide range of musical ensembles including band, orchestra, choir, and handbells. Besides the regular classes, we have many student-led musical groups and events to enjoy throughout the school year. The liberal arts music major program offers you the chance to interact with and learn from other music students outside of the music therapy program.

It’s important for kids to stay healthy, and in order to do that they need to move and have a better understanding of their health. With a degree in K-12 physical education, you will teach students the importance of exercise and health education in order to set them up for a healthy lifestyle.

To become a physical education teacher, there is a variety of coursework involved. You will have a better understanding of the human body with exercise physiology, motor development, anatomy, and physiology. You’ll also learn the ins and out of health education with personal, family, and community health. To get to this point, you’ll gain clinical experience and feel prepared to support learners with adaptive physical education needs. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a Physical Education, Health, Athletic Coaching, and Adaptive Physical Education license.

When you factor in tourism, more than $1 trillion in revenue is generated every single year. That means a lot of people are traveling for a number of different reasons. And when they travel, they need a place to stay. It’s a growing industry, and there’s a ton of room for you to grow and really make your mark within it.

This program allows you to pursue your dream to become a hospitality business professional through an undergraduate major or minor. You can expect courses to focus on a wide variety of topics, like critical analysis, solution development, innovation, analytics, finance, teamwork development, leadership growth, and more.

To be successful within this program, you must possess an exceptional drawing ability. Because we want you to have every opportunity to develop your skills, CUW has partnered with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) to create the illustration bachelor’s degree. Your 18 credits that take place at MIAD allow you to use the very latest in illustration concepts and technologies. Most of your classes (all core requirements, over half major requirements, and your minor) will be taught right on the CUW campus. You will experiment with both digital and physical illustration mediums to develop your own unique illustration style. Because aspiring illustrators need to distinguish themselves in the workplace, we recommend choosing a compatible minor in business or marketing.

Illustration is a very competitive field, demanding excellent drawing skills and the ability to produce images quickly and meet firm deadlines. You can anticipate this same rigour during your time as a student. Faculty will expect you to spend a substantial amount of each day on observational drawing to improve your technical abilities. A great deal of patience, self-discipline, and dedication will be asked of you. Upon graduation, you will be well-equipped to create both physical and digital drawings for books, magazines, websites, and other media.

As a working adult, you know that we are living in a data-age, and you see this area as a growth opportunity in your career. Now is the time because the demand for professionals with business analytics skills is growing. Most companies are generating, collecting, and storing information that is used to drive up the value of their business. This fast-growing career path has applications in every industry and companies of all sizes.

Concordia has teamed up with Milwaukee Area Technical College to offer you a four-year liberal arts degree with extensive hands-on experience. That means you can get the best of both worlds: the expert professors or resources offered through MATC paired with a traditional undergraduate experience filled with all of the perks of campus living, including exposure to Concordia’s vibrant faith community.

With this degree program, you can choose between two routes to meet your goals and needs. You can enroll at CUW for a traditional four-year experience that includes access to dorms, student life activities, music or theatre programs, and participation in intervarsity sports and then make the 3-mile commute to MATC’s Mequon campus to take your major courses and have access to MATC’s greenhouse and landscaped grounds. Or, you can complete MATC’s two-year associate degree before enrolling at CUW and then complete the CUW liberal arts core courses plus requirements for a minor in order to earn your bachelor’s degree.
While completing this major, you will learn about the fundamental and technical aspects of horticulture, such as landscape design, maintenance, estimate and bidding, ornamental plants, soils, plant health care, and landscape marketing.  You will also choose to emphasize landscape design, landscape construction, or landscape maintenance and arboriculture through specialized tracks at MATC.

In addition to your horticulture major, you will study environmental ethics, environmental science, and environmental law at CUW and choose a minor. Many horticulture students choose to augment their knowledge of horticulture and plant biology with a minor in areas such as general business, accounting, marketing, management, environmental science, biology, chemistry, or art in order to enhance their vocational goals and interests.

The purpose of this program, offered as a major or minor, is to assist you as you discover the gifts and talents God has given you for service. Although you will not train as a missionary, you will be studying how mission work is accomplished around the globe. A key element of this program is recognizing and deliberating on the challenges that arise in the mission field. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to participate in spring break mission trips, Missions Club, and global trips that will provide you with hands-on experience.

Neither the missions major or minor is a training program. Mission groups (such as LCMS World Mission) train their own missionaries to prepare for the specific areas where they’ll be sent. The goal of our program at Concordia is to help you decide if God is truly calling you to serve as a missionary.

Several of our theology faculty have a great deal of experience in mission work and will mentor you as you explore the possibilities. By the end of the program, you’ll be well-acquainted with the urgent need for missionaries and be prepared to decide if and how you want to serve. You’ll also leave with a better understanding of how to work in cross-cultural settings, how to navigate other religions, and how to handle the challenges that come with missionary work.
