In this degree program, you will have the opportunity to personalize your concentration depending on your interest. Regardless of which concentration you choose, all undergraduate students will complete a minimum of 120 credits, including 45 credit hours of general education core curricula, 25 credit hours of required public health coursework, and 3 credit hours of a culminating/capstone project

This program will help you develop your understanding of major events and themes across the eras. You’ll learn about global history and the philosophy of history, and you’ll gain the skills necessary to read, write, speak of, and teach about history. The biomedical sciences major has three tracks you can choose from: Human Biology, Pre-Medical, and Research. Your selection of electives within your chosen track will enable you to further individualize the final program based on your particular career goals. Plus, CUW has outstanding faculty in the biomedical sciences who are willing and able to guide you in your selection and work with you to help you fulfill your vocation. And the support continues outside of the classroom through mentoring programs and networking within student organizations such as the Pre-Med and Pre-Pharmacy Clubs.

What will your time at CUW look like? That, of course, depends on you and your interests, but we can at least give you an outline of the coursework you’ll receive. Your foundational classes will focus on the subjects of human biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry, physics, and bioethics. Depending on your track choice and electives, you may delve as deeply as you like into anatomy and physiology, molecular genetics, research methods, histology, immunology, and pharmacology.

You’ll be taking 25 credits of required coursework to give you a firm basis in drawing, color, design, art history, and aesthetics (the stuff that everyone who is serious about art needs to be aware of). But after that, you get to choose what aspects of art to focus on. We’ve got plenty of options to pick from and you’ve got 15 credits worth of courses to fill with whatever 2D or 3D electives inspire you!

By the time you finish this program you’ll have refined your artistic skills creating original designs, manipulating imagery, and applying design principles to visual communication. Whether you’re an operations manager, a civil engineer or a chief sustainability officer, our MBA in Sustainability Management and Analytics will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge you need to carry out financially successful sustainability. You’ll learn how to use traditional methods like Six Sigma, lean systems and operations research so that you can improve processes, reduce resource use and waste, and make better social and environmental decisions. We’ll show you how sustainability is the source of process and product innovation and we’ll give you the chance to explore a wide range of emerging topics to capture commercial and industrial innovations as they develop.

With an MBA in Sustainability Management and Analytics, you’re going to enter the workforce with hands-on experience and expertise in current sustainability practices. You’ll develop the ability to strategically innovate and handle global productions and operations. You’ll have a deep understanding of ecological economics and you’ll be able to utilize tools of the modern sustainability designed building. Not only will you have knowledge of the field, you’ll also have hands-on experience, certificates in sustainability methods, and exam prep if you decide to take the LEED Green Associate exam. Plus, you’ll increase your financial competence, leadership abilities and communication skills through the program’s eight core classes. You’ll even have a portfolio of your work to show potential employers.

The Biblical Studies program lays out a good foundation for further work not only in the LCMS but for all Christian denominations. This program offers classes that all Christian students can be prepared for church work or simply because they want to know more about the Bible and the God who is revealed in it. At the same time, this is a great program for Lutheran students who want to focus on the Bible itself.

With this program, students will explain and analyze the basic tenets of the Christian faith and will apply the Christian worldview and doctrines to current situations (personal, professional, and societal) and to historical problems and situations.

Biblical Studies graduates can expect to:

• Develop an understanding of the origin of the Bible, recognize the unique qualities of God's word, appreciate the varied yet unified content of the Old and New Testaments, and use sound principles in interpreting Scripture.
• Recognize the Bible as the authoritative source for knowledge of God and humankind, articulate key doctrines of the Christian faith, especially the gospel of Jesus Christ, and apply the teachings of Scripture to the life of the individual.
• Develop an appreciation for how God has worked in history, recognize key figures and movements in the life of the Church, and identify the state of theology today.
• Grow in their relationship with Christ and put His teachings into practice in their vocations.
• Observe, assess, and interpret today's cultures and world views. Students will be familiar with various methods of delivering and defending biblical truth in a relevant and practical way to diverse groups.

Diagnostic medical sonography (DMS) is a multi-specialty profession which utilizes high frequency sound waves to image the human body. Sonographers use their knowledge of anatomy, physiology and applied critical thinking to assess function and the presence of disease processes. Sonographers work under the guidance of an interpreting physician in a variety of health care settings. Concordia University offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The degree includes two years of core requirements and prerequisite classes specific to the major.
