Computer scientists are instrumental to anything and everything that involves computers. And let’s be honest, pretty much everything today involves computers. Robotics, virtual reality, and videogames are often cited as future job areas, but you could also be a part of many other fields—animation, music, automobiles, analytics…the list goes on.

What comes to mind when you think of computer science? In our modern world, there are decreasingly fewer things that don't rely on computers and technology in some shape or form, making computer science one of the most practical and versatile fields of study out there. At Concordia, we define computer science as solving problems using technology. If you can learn to create and manage technology solutions, you can apply your skills to just about any career path.

With five different concentrations available and substantial flexibility in electives, you have the power to customize this degree and make it your own. In this program, you'll receive a well-rounded education through the Concordia Core, as well as a firm foundation of computer science knowledge through our Technology Core. You'll learn the ins and outs of hardware, software, operating systems, databases, coding, and user interfaces. From there, you can branch out into one or more concentrations of computer science, specializing in the areas that are of most interest to you. You can use your electives to earn multiple concentrations, or to explore coursework in any other field at Concordia, broadening your knowledge base.

CUW has teamed up with Milwaukee Area Technical College to provide this bachelor degree program. What does this mean for you? First and foremost, you’ll receive state-of-the-art training in environmental health and water quality from experts at MATC coupled with the top-notch liberal arts program and large selection of minors offered at CUW.

Moreover, you can choose whichever route best fits your goals and needs while you obtain your degree—whether you enroll at CUW for a traditional four-year experience and commute the 3+ miles to MATC, or you divide your education into two distinct periods by completing MATC’s two-year, associate-level program prior to enrolling at CUW. Either choice will equip you with the skills you’ll need to make an impact; it’s up to you to decide which one best suits you.
Our environmental health and water quality technology program will teach you how to identify, monitor, and evaluate environmental health hazards. You’ll learn to promote environmental protection, improvement, and sustainability. Furthermore, you’ll be ready to apply relevant guidelines and regulations, control and handle hazardous materials, and perform water and wastewater analysis. The environmental health and water Quality technology program provides a solid foundation for a range of career opportunities that include the application of regulations and procedures to identify, evaluate, and control hazards.

Everywhere you go, you see the work of marketing professionals, whether it’s a billboard, a TV ad, a social media post or a brochure. In a world where everyone is vying for attention, you need to learn how to be strategic with your message. That’s why we created this program. Our experienced professors will help you discover how to plan, implement and manage marketing tasks like market segmentation, use of media and promotion, budgeting and evaluation. You’ll learn how to research your audience and share your message using the best channel - so you know you’ll be heard.

Being part of a diverse student body means that you’ll have the opportunity to hear other perspectives and think outside of the box. Together, you’ll gain practical skills to effectively employ marketing strategies like direct mail, lead generation, loyalty programs, social-marketing, store-traffic building and pre-selling in all types of media from print and broadcast to the web. You’ll also develop the confidence to organize a sales force through training, compensation, supervising and motivation. As a graduate of our MBA in Strategic Marketing, you’re going to understand the measurability and accountability of direct marketing and how it relates to your company’s overall strategy. You’ll have the practical skills you need to research how to market your products and the confidence to carry out your marketing strategies, no matter what platform you decide to use. Plus, you’ll be familiar with the tools and applications of the social media revolution and be ready to plan, implement, manage and measure your efforts.

The purpose of this program, offered as a major or minor, is to assist you as you discover the gifts and talents God has given you for service. Although you will not train as a missionary, you will be studying how mission work is accomplished around the globe. A key element of this program is recognizing and deliberating on the challenges that arise in the mission field. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to participate in spring break mission trips, Missions Club, and global trips that will provide you with hands-on experience.

Neither the missions major or minor is a training program. Mission groups (such as LCMS World Mission) train their own missionaries to prepare for the specific areas where they’ll be sent. The goal of our program at Concordia is to help you decide if God is truly calling you to serve as a missionary.

Several of our theology faculty have a great deal of experience in mission work and will mentor you as you explore the possibilities. By the end of the program, you’ll be well-acquainted with the urgent need for missionaries and be prepared to decide if and how you want to serve. You’ll also leave with a better understanding of how to work in cross-cultural settings, how to navigate other religions, and how to handle the challenges that come with missionary work.

You’ll be taking 25 credits of required coursework to give you a firm basis in drawing, color, design, art history, and aesthetics (the stuff that everyone who is serious about art needs to be aware of). But after that, you get to choose what aspects of art to focus on. We’ve got plenty of options to pick from and you’ve got 15 credits worth of courses to fill with whatever 2D or 3D electives inspire you!

By the time you finish this program you’ll have refined your artistic skills creating original designs, manipulating imagery, and applying design principles to visual communication. As you develop your unique artistic style, you will have a clearer understanding of how your artistic talents make a difference in the world. You will have an opportunity to showcase your work with an exhibit in the CUW Art Gallery and to assemble a professional portfolio highlighting the best of your work.

One of the most exciting parts of innovation is the opportunity to drive positive change in new and exciting ways. Our MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship will help you to do just that. You’ll learn from faculty with real-world experience and work alongside a diverse student body that will open up new points of view. You’ll also have the chance to receive free business coaching and pitch your own ideas through our CU Launch initiative. Throughout the program, our professors will engage you in topics like venture capital, intellectual property rights, and long-term planning strategy. And because we want to make this program convenient for you, our courses are offered at our main campus, our off-site locations and online. Wherever you are, this program will help you start pursuing the ideas you’re passionate about.

As a graduate of Concordia’s MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, you’ll have a new way of thinking - an entrepreneurial mindset that will help you think outside of the box and approach problem-solving in a creative way. Social work is one of the fastest growing professions in the United States with approximately 7,500 new positions available each year. Your timing for pursuing our MSW couldn’t be better. Graduates leave here ready for licensing in every state at multiple practice levels. You have the opportunity to work with individuals, families, children, schools, and health care systems in areas such as mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, administration, politics, international social work, and more.

Classes are on Mondays so you have more flexibility during the week  for your required field placement and other life priorities.
We are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). What does this mean and why is it important, you ask? Good Question! The CSWE mission is to ensure those attending social work programs will receive high quality education pertinent to the profession. CUW had to meet vigorous standards and criteria in our programming in order to be in good standing.

Through our social work department, CUW also provides an accredited Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. Full- and part-time Advanced Standing options are also available for those with a BSW degree from CUW or any CSWE- accredited program.

You’re motivated to make a difference. To advocate for social change, support diversity and fight for justice, one person at a time. We’re eager to have you join our MSW program. All applications are welcome, but rolling admissions apply and space is limited, so submit as soon as you can.

You will complete the Concordia core curriculum and electives, in addition to the credits transferred, to complete your bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology. We encourage you to select a minor that will help you fulfill the total number of credits (120) needed for graduation. You can transfer up to 84 credits and a minimum of 63 credits. This degree can be completed in a year and a half or less! From the very start, we will match you with an academic advisor to determine how many credits you are able to transfer, and get you started on your journey to growing in your career.

We understand that you are a busy working professional. That is why this program provides flexible learning options. Each course lasts 6 or 8 weeks (depending on the given format). You’ll benefit from coursework that is founded on a Christ-centered education.

With this degree, you will be a key part of the health care field by safely creating images needed to check for bone fractures, blocked blood vessels, abnormal growths in breast tissue, brain tumors, and so much more. Upon graduation, you will be ready to find a rewarding career in a variety of settings. When you’re an individual undergoing treatment in a healthcare facility – whether it’s acute, community, or long-term – it means you should be treated with utmost care and dignity. That’s your role as a healthcare administrator. To help uphold the dignity of each of your patients. It will also teach you how to be an effective healthcare administrator, how to evaluate research results applicable to a healthcare practice, and how to demonstrate effective communication – in writing and presentations.
There are so many intricacies to working in the field of healthcare. This program focuses primarily on working with others in the field of healthcare. It all starts with your ability to recognize every individual as a holistic being created by God – someone whose dignity, worth, and rights deserve to be respected and upheld.

This program will help you grow adept at analyzing different healthcare systems. You’ll grow an ability to synthesize knowledge from the sciences, humanities, and management theories as a basis for problem-solving and decision-making. You will be expected to display a willingness to work cohesively and communicate with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare network.

This program will equip you with the ability to evaluate research results that are applicable to your healthcare practice, and teach you how to create a reflective self plan for personal and professional growth. You’ll discover an ability to recognize and analyze current trends and issues related to healthcare management, which will help you grow throughout your career. And you’ll earn respect for diversity within the healthcare community – for both those who are served and the providers of care.

Because music is such a diverse area, we offer five distinct paths from which you can choose, including Liberal Arts: Music, Parish Music, K-12 Music Education, Music Therapy Equivalency, and a music minor. These music degrees provide a solid, well-rounded musical education, allowing you to explore your creativity and develop your technical abilities. As a music student, you will study music theory, composition, conducting, music history, and forms of the medieval, baroque, pre-classical, romantic, and 20th century periods from around the globe. With such a thorough background, you’ll gain the skills to excel in your chosen medium.

You will learn from our internationally acclaimed faculty while having the opportunity to attend performances, travel with our talented band, orchestra, vocal choir, and  handbell choir ensembles, join one of our student-led music groups, and participate in events throughout the school year. In addition to learning in group settings with fellow students, you can also work one-on-one with a private tutor in your area of interest.
