Through this program, you’ll explore all areas of the Spanish language through a variety of activities and experiences, both on- and off-campus: interdisciplinary volunteer events, Spanish Table, Spanish Club on-campus, and other volunteer work and internships for hands-on experience in the Milwaukee community, throughout the U.S., and even abroad. Why a Bachelor's Degree in Theological Studies? This program gives you options. If you simply want to study God’s Word for the sake of your personal growth, you’ll receive a solid foundation in doctrine. However, there is much more you will benefit from with a theology degree.

God reveals himself through his Word and, to a lesser degree, through his world. This program examines the Bible, God’s revealed Word, in broad introductory overviews of the Holy Scriptures (isagogics) as well as in close reading of a particular biblical book (exegetical studies). This program also studies God’s providence in history. In addition, students receive practical training in the application of their studies in ministry to others.

Through participation in, and upon completion of, the Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies at Concordia University Wisconsin, students will:

You can expect to benefit from a well-rounded study of biblical and systematic theology, along with the application of theology in your life within the Christian Church. You’ll be delving into the Old and New Testaments, systematic doctrine, and practical theology (teaching and worship). We offer a lot (seriously, a LOT) of theology electives, so you can explore and grow in the particular areas that interest you.

It’s not a chicken-or-the-egg sort of thing. The truth is, humanity and the marketplace enjoy a symbiotic relationship. Both have seen their ups and downs. Both have been the cause and the effect. This program explores the economic problems faced by individuals, business, and nations by offering courses in the historical, practical, theoretical, and empirical aspects of economics. You will graduate with a firm understanding of the basis of the discipline and be prepared to position yourself and your organization to survive and thrive in any environment. You’ll be qualified to seek employment in the private, public, or nonprofit sector or to seek advanced degrees and graduate study.

You might expect to master the models and competing theoretical frameworks that shape economics in a program like this one – and you’d be right on the money. You’ll also study the factors that drive human behavior in the marketplace and the principles and theories of macro and micro-economics. You’ll look at consumer demand for goods and services, and the ways in which economic policy impacts national welfare. And don’t worry, you’ll study enough inflation, unemployment, and economic growth to satisfy your itch.

You will complete the Concordia core curriculum and electives, in addition to the credits transferred, to complete your bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology. We encourage you to select a minor that will help you fulfill the total number of credits (120) needed for graduation. You can transfer up to 84 credits and a minimum of 63 credits. This degree can be completed in a year and a half or less! From the very start, we will match you with an academic advisor to determine how many credits you are able to transfer, and get you started on your journey to growing in your career.

We understand that you are a busy working professional. That is why this program provides flexible learning options. Each course lasts 6 or 8 weeks (depending on the given format). You’ll benefit from coursework that is founded on a Christ-centered education.

With this degree, you will be a key part of the health care field by safely creating images needed to check for bone fractures, blocked blood vessels, abnormal growths in breast tissue, brain tumors, and so much more. Upon graduation, you will be ready to find a rewarding career in a variety of settings. Social work is one of the fastest growing professions in the United States with approximately 7,500 new positions available each year. Your timing for pursuing our MSW couldn’t be better. Graduates leave here ready for licensing in every state at multiple practice levels. You have the opportunity to work with individuals, families, children, schools, and health care systems in areas such as mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, administration, politics, international social work, and more.

The advanced training an MSW degree from CUW provides will increase your job and salary opportunities. We offer full- and part-time options to best accommodate your needs and schedule. Classes are on Mondays so you have more flexibility during the week  for your required field placement and other life priorities.
We are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). What does this mean and why is it important, you ask? Good Question! The CSWE mission is to ensure those attending social work programs will receive high quality education pertinent to the profession. CUW had to meet vigorous standards and criteria in our programming in order to be in good standing.

Through our social work department, CUW also provides an accredited Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. Full- and part-time Advanced Standing options are also available for those with a BSW degree from CUW or any CSWE- accredited program.

CUW has teamed up with Milwaukee Area Technical College to provide this bachelor degree program. What does this mean for you? First and foremost, you’ll receive state-of-the-art training in environmental health and water quality from experts at MATC coupled with the top-notch liberal arts program and large selection of minors offered at CUW.

Moreover, you can choose whichever route best fits your goals and needs while you obtain your degree—whether you enroll at CUW for a traditional four-year experience and commute the 3+ miles to MATC, or you divide your education into two distinct periods by completing MATC’s two-year, associate-level program prior to enrolling at CUW. Either choice will equip you with the skills you’ll need to make an impact; it’s up to you to decide which one best suits you.
Our environmental health and water quality technology program will teach you how to identify, monitor, and evaluate environmental health hazards. You’ll learn to promote environmental protection, improvement, and sustainability. Furthermore, you’ll be ready to apply relevant guidelines and regulations, control and handle hazardous materials, and perform water and wastewater analysis. The environmental health and water Quality technology program provides a solid foundation for a range of career opportunities that include the application of regulations and procedures to identify, evaluate, and control hazards.

The MPD Chemical program will provide the additional education and hands-on training that science majors need to secure jobs in the pharmaceutical or chemical product development industries; accordingly classes are taught in an applied manner.

• Centered around drug discovery work, this one- of-a-kind program fills an unmet industry need for highly skilled employees
• You’ll focus on traditional chemistry and instrumentation principles as a way of creating and validating potential new active pharmaceutical ingredients, streamlining complex synthesis, analyzing the shelf-life of API’s, or designing cost-effective synthetic routes
• Individual product development projects partner you with an industry expert to build on existing ideas or cultivate your own original designs
• Curriculum blends technical skills with business strategy, market analysis, regulatory/compliance (FDA, ISO), and legal considerations (patent, licensing)

You’ll apprentice with industry partners and learn in state-of-the-art analytical and pilot-scale labs (like the new hybrid classroom/cGMP lab on the Innovation Campus). In addition, you’ll be able to take advantage of networking and collaboration opportunities provided by the Interprofessional Education (IPE) program.

The study of biology connects us to the world in which we live and reminds us of the awe-inspiring intricacies of the Lord’s creation. From the largest ecosystem to the smallest microorganism, each organism and system is designed to seamlessly work together. So if you share an appreciation of wonders great and small, a biology major might be right for you.

You can anticipate learning both inside and outside of the typical classroom. Sure, you’ll attend lectures, but you’ll also participate in labs and field research to obtain hands-on experience. Many of the required classes are taken in the Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship, a LEEDS Platinum facility designed specifically for laboratory courses that emphasize fieldwork and environmental ethics.

Over the course of your studies, you’ll take 49 credits of required coursework and 11 credits of related electives.  The required coursework provides a strong foundation in the biological sciences, while the elective coursework allows you the ability to tailor your major to your specific interests.

You will be well equipped for a wide variety of career choices to include graduate studies in any of the life sciences.  The biology major also serves an alternative to the biomedical sciences major for those of you who appreciate breadth in your biology education as you prepare for professions in the medical field, such as pharmacy or medical school.
