In this program, you will study anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection, and basic patient care. As is fairly evident from the above sentence, we take both patient and medical personnel safety very seriously. You’ll grow confident in your abilities as you learn from some of the best faculty and professionals in the field.

This CUW bachelor degree is a Two plus Two program, in which you spend the first two years on Concordia’s campus taking prerequisite classes prior to entry into the Radiologic Technology (RT) program. You’ll then apply for the next phase that consists of didactic courses and clinical experience with our partner clinical affiliations. It is worth noting that this is a competitive program, so acceptance is not guaranteed. To improve your chances, we’d like to encourage you to demonstrate exemplary grades, prior health care experience, and job shadow hours.

Because the pre-professional curriculum requires about 67 credits (17 credits per semester if taken in 4 semesters), we highly recommend using winterim and summer breaks to fulfill course requirements. Once you are accepted, the more advanced work begins. At first, you are going to spend most of your time in the classroom and scan laboratory, with less time in clinicals. This is to provide you with the theories and principles to ground you before applying them in a real-world environment. Gradually, your classroom time will be reduced as your clinical component increases. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at one of our partner clinics including Aurora, Wheaton Franciscan, and Froedtert Health systems.
With this degree, you will be a key part of the health care field by safely creating images needed to check for bone fractures, blocked blood vessels, abnormal growths in breast tissue, brain tumors, and so much more. Upon graduation, you will be ready to find a rewarding career in a variety of settings. Alumni have gone on to work in hospitals, physician's’ offices, medical and diagnostic labs, do research, administration, education, and so much more!

Once you have your MBA in Accounting, you can pick your industry of choice based on what interests you the most. The important thing is that you’ll be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This program is designed to provide you with the skills necessary to sit for the national CPA exam. Among other business foundations, you’ll learn essential skills like advanced auditing, global production and operations, as well as systems management and design. And you’ll receive direct, one-on-one instruction from current professionals eager to give you the most practical experience you could ask for - so you’ll be prepared for the corporate world.

As a graduate of the program, you’ll not only have greater expertise in accounting, but you’ll also come out as a better leader with the skills to make strategic decisions. You’ll know how to manage fraud, be confident in handling advanced accounting issues, communicate clearly, and lead diverse groups of people. Plus, you’ll have the knowledge you need to become a CPA - so you can join the field a step ahead.

Through this program, you’ll explore all areas of the Spanish language through a variety of activities and experiences, both on- and off-campus: interdisciplinary volunteer events, Spanish Table, Spanish Club on-campus, and other volunteer work and internships for hands-on experience in the Milwaukee community, throughout the U.S., and even abroad. Real-world experience that will lead to confidence in the classrooms, with skills that won’t just set you apart, they’ll help you connect.

This program isn’t all ones and zeroes, if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s actually a three-part curriculum that starts with a liberal arts core, moves on to lay a solid foundation in general business, and then offers specialized focus in finance. From accounting to economics and statistics, you’ll set the groundwork for a wide array of financial and business management topics. We’re talking the time value of money, interest rates, financial statements, capital allocation, stocks, bonds, derivatives, economic policy, international trade, foreign currency, regulation, and many others.

At the end of this program, you will know the ins and outs of business commerce you can apply all around the world. You will learn all levels of finance such as corporate and international and fundamental financial management and valuation principles. When you join the workforce you’ll be confident in commercial banking, financial markets, and monetary and fiscal policy.

The bulk of your time in this program will be spent learning Hebrew and Greek, the languages that the Old and New Testaments were written in. Why? In order to translate Scripture into the indigenous languages of those whom you are ministering to, you must start from the original text.

In addition to translating the Bible, your coursework will include an in-depth exploration of the Old Testament, the New Testament, and Christian Doctrine. To complete your well-rounded studies, you’ll also delve into anthropology, communications, and missions to gain the basic skills necessary to work in a variety of mission settings.

The greatest benefit of this program is that you get to combine areas of study that compliment each other. By studying biblical languages, Christian doctrine, and missions, you gain diverse training that applies in many different areas of service. Each component of your training will support and enhance your ability to serve Christ—no matter what continent you find yourself on!

People think just because they communicate daily – both verbally and in written form – they don’t need to spend the time it takes to truly become adept at communicating. But even naturally gifted communicators can benefit from this program. During your time here, you’ll have the opportunity to study topics such as: public relations and press releases; group dynamics; leadership communication; interviewing strategies; conflict management skills; servant leadership; public speaking; social media theory and history; cross-cultural communication, and more. You’ll also have internship opportunities that will give you real-world experience to bring to your future workplace. Becoming a strong communicator is one of the best ways to ensure that you make a big impact in the world of business.

At the end of this program, you will not only be a stronger communicator, but also a better leader. You’ll know how to work with diverse groups, identify key messages worth sharing, and lead others by example. You’ll join the workforce with the hands-on experience needed to deliver your message -whether you’re communicating in the office, with friends and family, or to the media.

Through a blend of the social sciences, history, and humanities, you’ll learn to guide your students through a myriad of thinking types and social structures, and be able to adapt such lessons to grade levels ranging from grade 4 to grade 12. You’ll gain a stronger sense of contemporary and past viewpoints and be able to share insights with your class that reveal how people relate to the world around them. You’ll participate in and learn how to lead discussions on civic issues and organize around solutions. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll understand how to help your students discover how people relate to each other, how we interact as groups, and how we organize our thoughts, religions, and governments. With a foundation in social studies, you’ll be able to help your students better understand their place in the world.

The Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science is the first step in pursuing your career in occupational or physical therapy. You’ll benefit from a broad-based education that meets the prerequisites for entering our Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). For those of you who already have a particular area interest, you can start early! During your undergraduate studies, you can select elective courses focusing on pediatrics or gerontology.
You are at the beginning of your university education! That is pretty exciting. Are you planning even further ahead for future graduate studies? Yes? This program is going to get you ready for a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). By starting here, you get the skills and knowledge that will serve you later on. Not quite sure if graduate school is for you, but you’d like options? Rehabilitation science is useful in and of itself. It is broad enough to be applicable in plenty of medical and health careers, while focusing on healing and strengthening the human body. We’ll give you a foundation that you can build on whichever way you choose.

In order to provide efficient, quality learning, you can apply for CUW’s MOT program during your sophomore year, and begin the graduate coursework your junior year. What does that ultimately mean for you? By combining the two programs, you will graduate with a bachelor and master’s in 4 ½ years! Opting for the bachelor alone means you’ll be finished in 3 ½ years. Our faculty and staff will help you choose the path that best suits your individual goals and needs.

In addition, there is an accelerated DPT admission option for qualified students. This option allows students to complete the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 6 rather than 7 years. The option is open to students who matriculate as freshman and take all their science prerequisite coursework at Concordia University. If you decide to pursue admission through the accelerated process you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science following completion of your fourth year of academic study at Concordia University.

Possibly the only thing greater than unlocking your own creativity through music, is helping someone else unlock theirs. That’s precisely what you’ll do with a focus in music education: help your students learn to express their unique individuality, while providing them with a strong sense of how the shared experience of music brings us all together.
As a music education student, you’ll study music theory, composition, conducting, music history, and forms of the medieval, baroque, pre-classical, romantic, and 20th century periods from around the globe. With such a thorough background, you’ll gain the skills and to share this knowledge with your own students.

Learn the ins and outs of all the instruments in an ensemble by becoming a teacher for K-12 band or orchestra. The K-12 Choral Education curriculum teaches many levels of music theory and music history, conducting, and techniques for teaching brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings. In addition to learning in the classroom, stay active in your instrumental skills by participating in an ensemble of your choice each semester.

The MPD Pharmaceutical program will provide the additional education and hands-on training that science majors need to secure jobs in the pharmaceutical product development industries; accordingly classes are taught in an applied manner.

You’ll apprentice with industry partners and learn in state-of-the-art analytical and pilot-scale labs (like the new hybrid classroom/cGMP lab on the Innovation Campus). In addition, you’ll be able to take advantage of networking and collaboration opportunities provided by the Interprofessional Education (IPE) program.
